Went in! Woop - one hurdle dealt with! hehe!

Right, well I sat down and calmly said if I could ask if he knew anything about my bonus and he said straight away that yes he needed to work on it and he knew about it (which is a good sign) also turns out my manager said nothing so waste of time going to him!

But, hes on client visits all next week and I'm away the week after so he said he will sit down with my manager and work something out the next couple of weeks and for me not to worry

He also said he was going to sit down and discuss the option of getting me more involved with the consultant side of things so that it will be easier for me to progress and possibly get a promotion!

Not sure if its just empty words yet but I am a little bit excited

So, nothing new but at least *hopefully* the gears are now in motion!

Thanks alot for everyone who has taken the time to read this, I know it has been a little silly in the grand scheme of things but its really nice to know that there are so many lovely people out there

Congratulations!
Now you know two things:

1) Your bonus is going to be discussed (HOPEFULLY!!) and you should have some news when you get back.

2) Your manager doesn't give a flying fudgebar about your corporate wellbeing. So you're going to have to make things happen for yourself.

Don't forget, after a few days back from holds, pop your head into the BB's room and say "Oh, how did the discussion go about my bonus?". Then you'll get an update, or he'll tell you that he's still meaning to have that conversation, in which ase you can come back on here ans as us what to do next!

Hi. only just read this thread, it might be worth jotting down a few notes for the meeting. So that you will be in control & know what you want to ask. Don't write an essay, just a few bullet points for guidance.
Don't forget about the bonus being backdated.
