I've got fruit here on my trees in the garden that I don't like. I was tempted to suggest that people could come and get the fruit if they wished, I'm going to dump it all on the compost heap now. easier in the long run I think.

Offered quite a few things on freecycle over the weekend, and had a variety of responses including:

hi i am interested in this item i can collect asap ....I was so annoyed they didnt even mention the item, let alone use a please!

I emailed back and said ive offered lots of things this weekend, which item are you asking me for? She responded with one word, just the name of the item, no oops, sorry or thank you !

And then this..

hi i will have the item (mobile phone number) text me

Mmm, dont think i'll bother thanks!

I do from time to time get really pi44ed off with the attitude of some freecyclers, however I continue to be an active member as I do believe its a good thing, and dont want the cheeky, ungrateful, traders etc to spoil it and stop me contributing and recieving useful things!

The add on part was sold on ebay by me, but meanwhile i have now started to get emails and texts from the dealer saying he really needs to extra add on bit as otherwise the thing he collected was useless. basically I assume he has repaied it and wants to sell it on or else he has dumped the item and wants the add on for sale. I don't know how to block his texts and frankly I am getting tired of this.

The item i offered was exactly as I described it, and had alot of use still in it. The part he wants is an extra and has value and was not included in the offer but he will not go away.

Why don't you just tell him you no longer have the item, you have sold it/taken it to the dump/given it away? He would be a bit silly and wasting his time and his money to keep pestering you if he thinks you no longer have the item.

I have given up with freecycle, got loads of stuff to get rid of, even a Bumbo! (Can't stand the thing!!) but when I registered I got, "you will shortly receive an e-mail to activate your account" a week later still no e-mail so looks like it will be a trip to the charity shop for me...

Don't :eek: The Bumbo is worth money second-hand :money: If nothing else, I'll pay you to wrap & post it to me!

I have hit my 100 items a month on ebay and I am sick to death of posting good stuff to then get neg feedback from newbies with under 5 feedback so just wanted to give stuff away to people who appreciate it although looking at the comments here people really don't appreciate it!
