Have they ever heard of please?

    World Book Day strikes again.

We had a guy flood the living crap outta our group at the weekend with "Want this... X condition required to me taking it... call Dave on 34145325321523"... soooooo rude and normally the mods yank mobile numbers out asap.

    Wanted - good manners

    Hi,
I have put this wanted in before, but no-one seems to have any! I have given to
four wanted ads in the last two weeks, leaving the items outside for collection,
and not one of the recipients has sent an email "thank-you". Really, is it too
    much to ask?

    WANTED: Used 235/70 R16 Tyre

My 4X4 is getting long in the tooth and very environment unfriendly and has
to go. I had to buy it to pull my caravan which I will be also getting rid
of. I am looking to sell it soon and get a car which is not such a gas
guzzler. One of the tyre is getting close to needing to be replaced. I did
not want to go to the expense of getting a new one which would set me back
about £100. I would very much appreciate it if you maybe had one tucked

    :rotfl:

Why is that odd? On a 4 by 4 you have to get both tyres replaced if an old one gets a puncture. It's a total pain. I always take the not yet completely worn out one home with me in case I need one. I would be happy to have given it away on freecycle.

    Very logical request to me.
    June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving

    July challenge £50 a day. £ 1682.50/1550

    October challenge £100 a day. £385/£3100

    In answer to your question:-

PLEASE DO NOT give to the first one or two people requesting untill you have left the item on offer for a min of 24 hours.

There are A LOT of members that are set up to receive these messages from 20+ local sites and grab all of the goodies before more needy peeps get the chance.

They then go on Ebay or they sell them in their secondhand shop.

They often turn up in their Discovery Vogue to collect the item

    TO SEARCH A MEMBERS HISTORY

Depending on the type of site that you have in your region, you should be able to find a link to 'Messages' and there should be a search function available.

Next to this you might see an 'Advanced' link and if you click on that you should be able to enter the username/email of that person and it should show you what their posting history is.

Personally, I'm not worried about giving to "the needy". I don't want sob stories with my replies. I just want to recycle my items. If someone can turn a profit on them then good for them.

Had a good Freeble month! Got rid of two packs of nappies which didn't fit LO anymore, and got some old videos for him. Got to the woman's house expecting four or five, ended up with about 40!

That reminds me, need to go and give away something else.

Hi, I know this is a huge ask, but if anyone has a car they no longer use and it
is road worthy please consider us. My hubby is just about to return to work
after having to look after our two boys with mental health issues and our car
has just packed up and is un repairable. With only one wage coming in we are
just exsisting. There is nothing left over to replace the car.
    thank you
I am looking for any DS games please.. My sons are so bored. Anything would be
    appreciated.
Hi, I am looking for anything Phil n Teds.

Our daughter is expecting her second child and unfortunately as she has been
    signed off work.

They are extremely strapped for cash.

Thankfully she had the sense to keep all the newborn clothes from our grand
daughter, but she now needs a double pushchair etc.
Am not a total newbie, I lost my previous log in details after taking a very long break from this site :embarasse

i offered an item student requests it i say when do you wish to call gave them the option as i am home alot - they say saturday 1pm. So waited in (didnt go shopping til later) 1pm - no show.

1.09pm email sent from iphone sorry cant make it i will come at 5pm (oh right you are assuming I am going to be in then)

5pm - no show - waiting in as it is around the time i take the dog out

6.30pm - email from iphone - to say oh sorry forgot the time was doing a dissertation ? or whatever it was called

6.39pm - email on my way now.

Excuse me but from 6pm onwards we have a routine where my son has his bath and is in bed by 7pm - so we dont have any knockers at the door or doorbell ringing - as light sleeper and when he wakes wont go back.

In the end i just leave the item outside front door.

And guess what now Monday the item has gone but no email to say oh thanks for the item.

I am so very very sorry freecycle but i have now had a guts full of it never again will i post anything everything will either go to charity shop or tip - fed up with the whole thing. People are so damn ignorant.
