isn't it sad that such a splendid idea is hijacked by such low life.We all know they exist but when they slither into our world it leaves a nasty taste.
We've both given and recieved on our local freecycle and only 2 experiences were bad.One sent horrible emails complaining that an item wasn't the "spec" she expected despite being given model number etc and the other a chap who bombarded us with pleading emails for the item yet after collection not one with a simple thanks.Ah well

Offered: Strong Delsey club suitcase, Excellent condition and ideal for week-end breaks.... just one problem. It is locked with a combination lock and we've forgotten the number. I'm told that it is possible to open but I don't know how!! Any would-be sleuths are welcome to it!

The fish tank one is not that unreasonable. I have a 6 foot fish tank, with hood, that a friend was going to take to the tip as it was in her way! It's not in perfect condition and clearly has been resealed, and used as a breeding tank but it is water tight, and is now a wonderful feature in my living room

I myself offered my smaller tank, and was bombaded with 'does it have a lid and lights, do you have a pic? whats the full measurements, etc which i replied to, quite a lot of emails in fact, they either didn't reply, or replied demanding I text them (I don't use a mobile so cannot text and hate speaking on phone)

It ended up going to a guy from eBay who dropped off a bulky item for me, he saw my other tanks and asked did I have one to sell, so gave him the small one and got a smile + a thank you.

have just got a fabby pile of books off my freegle (and introduced the giver to MSE).
It's not a funny but i know some of you are Sheffield (south yorkshire) based...... I've finished my freebie win from here "homemade kids" book - have posted on my boards but no reply so far so if anyone would like to come pick it up PM me.
