It looks as though they plan on starting an ebay businesss for free.0 -
Yep, from ours this afternoon:
Surely they've forgotten to add the lawnmower, barbecue, bedding plants...?
I always get the same 2-3 people replying when I offer things as well. I'm thinking about just asking for their addresses and then we can load the car up and get rid of everything in one go.
TBH though sites like this advertise freecycle as a great way of refitting your house for free so it's not really surprising these people appear on there...
dont load your car up for them, they might want that as well!!:pcounting down the time I got left.:beer:0 -

What some people request is crazy! I did feel cheeky but I once asked if anyone had a spare computer/laptop as my dad was out of work and needed to get online to find work. Someone very kindly gave him a PC which he used to find a job, he then brought himself a laptop and set the PC up for relatives who thought they would never own a computer.
I met a lovely lady when I offered something once, she came to collect and we got talking about my charity. We are still in touch and last year she went to her doctor to see if she would be allowed to donate one of her kidneys to one of the charities children in need of a transplant!
I once freecycles bits and bobs, I had 50 identicle catalogues, I thought they were destined to be recycled only but posted them incase a play group wanted them for cutting and sticking. A strange man collected (asked how long it takes the police to get to my house?? I have no idea but said super quick) and went off very happy with his 50 toy catalogues!Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Me too! Plus he could see I was disabled and although I live with my parents I looked like a disabled young person who lived alone! The polices ears must of been burning as I praised how wonderful they are and how rapidly they respond. We also chatted about my imaginary dog (was tempted to invent a bodyguard boyfriend too but bigged up my dad instead!). We never had any problems and I think he was just a very odd man but it was a long time until I posted on freecycle again!Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

why do the mods allow posts like this ? why do they not remove people like this ?
I'm sorry but I feel the mods have a lot to answer for in the current state of the movement .... sits back with bag of popcorn ready for the backlash :cool:Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0
