yea but ... what if the box really DOES have "crap" in it ??I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0

I recently put a scooter on freecycle, a nice lady e-mailed and I offered it to her. She said her hubby will pick it up which he duly did. Today I received an e-mail from her that the car is offroad and I should offer it to somebody else???
First thought that some random man picked it up but checked the previous e-mail conversation incase I offered it to somebody else too. But I only send her my address.:hello:0 -
Sounds like she's got you confused with someone else, bazzaboo. Unless she mentioned the scooter in this latest email?
I'd email back as the chances are as things stand she'll be letting someone else down without realising that she hasn't told them.0 -
Re: wanteds, I think there is definitely a place for these. Eg on our group we've had wanteds for old magazines/boxes etc for crafts for an after school club, empty jam jars for jam making etc. I did one recently because I needed a certain size tin (empty food tin) for a cake recipe which I couldn't find in the supermarket, and someone got it for me.
It's just a shame 'wanted' is usually followed by something ridiculous that would never be thrown away!

She didn't mention the scooter but replied to an e-mail I previously sent her. I will give her a line just incase she meant to send it to somebody else.:hello:0 -

- btw ,what do the lads at the centre do with all the stuff that they put to one side ??
Our tips have guys who go & collect the saleable stuff & sell it on.
I think that the contract was put put to tender.0 -
