Just a selection from ours today:
Looking for a cream leather sofa to replace worn out sofa, so I can keep the
    colour scheme in the flat.
Yes, I have a leather colour scheme in my house too.
WANTED: Wii games: lego starwars the complete saga; lego batman.
Either of these or both would be great. Can collect Saturday
Shame she didn't post this yesterday, I've just binned both of those. (She actually posted this message AM and PM on our group!)
    WANTED: Quinny Buzz pushchair
Hi, I keep missing the quinnys on offer so I thought I would put this message up. I have just had a baby and my current travel system is a heavy for me, I have hypermobility which has caused me to suffer badly from back pain and I am finding it difficult to handle the pram I have at the moment. Would be forever grateful if anyone has one to offer.
    Thanks.
I also have an illness that means I can only push designer prams, can someone buy me a bugaboo please? Must be this season's colours.
WANTED: Please, a Landrover Discovery 3 Dog Guard
    Hello,

We are picking up two young spaniels on Saturday and will need a Dog Guard for our Landrover Discovery 3.

If anyone has one lying around or on the pile for the next trip to the tip then we will happily collect this weekend.
I can't help thinking if you can afford a landy and 2 pedigree dogs, well...

Hypermobility Syndrome (and all it's components) is no laughing matter and I can totally relate to that young woman. Pregnancy worsens HMS symptons so cut her some slack,

I agree, there are a lot of mums who have to cope with various ailments without designer prams :rotfl:

    Sensible want adds are fine.
I needed another rabbit hutch ASAP when my two started ripping lumps out of each other. I was offered one the same day.
I had a friend want a certain size of empty calor gas container and a guy had one just sitting in his garden. We saved him a tip trip.

Spotted someone asking for free holiday accommodation, or declaring they won't have the brother's family under their roof..

    WANTED: accommodation in august
Brother returning home from Japan with wife and two children for August to see
family...any vacant accommodation/ caravan etc during this period would be
    helpful.

I love freecycle, the moderators on this areas seem, as far as I can tell ,to be doing a good job.However-lots of wanteds and big asks such as plasma tvs etc.I am very happy because today I replied to an offered post and am gratefully going to collect some onion plants from a lovely sounding lady -just something small but in the spirit of freecycle.I have had no shows and someone who "deparately wanted" an item ,could i save it until next week and then rearrange, then did not come.
On the whole though I have met some nice people, and still think it worthwhile.
On the subject of books I have not applied for books in past thinking it greedy to have a bagful when i only want one or two,but in the light of posts I read today I will ask and then donate the others to charity if I am lucky. Thanks to all freecyclers (any 52 inch plasma screens going spare lol)

The thing is, I thought Freecycle was an idea to avoid reusable items going to the tip/landfill, free accommodation is hardly going to end up there.

Same as this....in other words they are expecting someone to share something which someone has paid a lot of money to set this up and use, it is hardly something that is going to end up at the tip.
Rather a strange request I know, but I need a DX address and it is quite expensive to set up initially, especially just for one person.
I was wondering if there was anyone out there with a DX address (or someone they know with one) that would allow me to share with them. I would not anticiapte using it every day, maybe just one or twice a week.
Worth a try and thank you for reading

ohh some of thsese wanteds are fab. Well after reading how "old age pensioner requires a Wii with Wii fit to be able to exercise " (no lie it actually did appear last week!!!!) and "wardrobe and chesst of drawers required as mine broke in house move and i cannot afford a new one" I thought I might just see if I could get anything....

My sons brakes on his buggy (all be it a cheap one) keep stopping working. So before I went out and bought a new one i thought i'd see if anyone had a plain boring stroller they no longer needed (i.e. grandparents who's grandchild has outgrown their runaround). I was offered a LUNA. now anyone who knows their buggies will now why i snapped this up and couldn't thank the lady enough for it.

So it is true "if you don't ask you don't get", but some people (and i have met them) only want your stuff to sell on to make a profit - I HATE this sort of person. Plus anyone who says "I'll have it ring me" or doesn't bother to mention the name of the item go straight in the junk/ blocked mail list.

On the other hand some of the wanteds are for a good cause and in this case one i passed onto my friends "my friend works in a funeral home and puts a teddy in every childs coffin so please if you have any to donate......."
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
