Just had one on ours it states it is a 'genuine' request and they are desperate for a telly as theirs has broken, yet specify 'flat screen only and more than 28 inches please'. That desperate eh

just had another (deleted it by mistake) from a woman desperate for a knitting machine because shes signed up to a course and needs one.

Surely the logical way of doing things would be to get the machine before signing up for a course?

In one of our digests recently there were 4 taken, 1 received, 16 wanted, and 4 offered (and they were 3 builders rubble, and 1 sand). We've had requests for furniture, surf boards, and boats. I offered 3 lamps, all taken, The two women who picked up items were lovely, very friendly and grateful, but the man I offered the 3rd to arranged a pick up time and didn't come. I emailed to ask if he still wanted it, I'd keep until w/e if needed. He then arranged another time, didn't turn up, and I've not heard from him since. It's really annoying, as I could have homed that several times over then. I'll relist after my holidays, but I sometimes wonder why people are so rude as to not come on time, or let you know they have changed their mind.

If I was feeling particularly wicked I would send a reply to that one, offering such and such caravan, currently parked up at [location of nearest unofficial p.ikey park].

Moved the the house I'm in now around 5 years ago, before I found freecycle, and "inherited" a plasma (I think) TV that is attached to the wall of the living room. I don't like it, but hey...

So, I had my old TV to give to someone as don't need 2, around 28 inches, heavy thing it was, and I put it on supermarket walls, free ads paper etc and no-one was interested!

Our group has a regular who posts wanted's on behalf of his children, who apparently want to further their collections of fob watches and vintage Hornby railway equipment.
