Oh I know what they are...it just defies belief!
I think I may post my shopping list on there later0 -
I'd never heard of them. I'm obviously moving in the wrong circles.0

I'm not normally bothered by wanteds but we've just had a request on ours for a fisher price jumparoo because their baby likes to bounce and play with toys! What baby doesn't?
These are 70quid new i paid 35 for ours second hand, if they are that desperate a cheap door bouncer would do the same job. I can't imagine anyone throwing one out so hardly keeping stuff from being tipped.0 -
Think I'll post my want on my freecycle.
I'd like a bottle of Cava, pref pink but white will do, must be dry.
Home made steak & ale pie, shortcrust pastry pref, will have puff if that's all available
Cauli cheese, must be HM cheese sauce with good strong mature cheese
Mashed swede
Carrots, not overcooked & mushy
I'm not too fussy about what greens I have, as long as not overcooked, although I do really like creamed spinach
Roast pots cooked in goose or duck fat so very nice & crunchy
Hopefully I won't need a dessert but if there's one going spare something fruity would be preferable, hm (none of the shop bought carp) pavlova, must be chewy with clotted cream & a selection of English soft fruits, prefer to be picked ripe with the heat of the sun still on them. Would be quite nice after a heavy main course.
Delivered if possible at around 7pm tonight.

Oh dear - just posted several offers on Freegle and left them all outside as we are trying ( that is trying ! ) to de - clutter and the weather is so dry for awhile - sorted them all out seperatly to 6 different emails
whilst making a cuppa aware that a white lorry / van shape was outside then gone
less than 2 mins later ,someone knocking on front door for one of the items ( you can see this coming cant you !? ) - yep everything gone ! - the lot - in one fell swoop
Good in away that I wanted them gone - but the man knocking on my door wasnt as chuffed - nor will the next callers I suspect ( have emailed them , but they might be on the way )
...................think I might go out actually ( not to a car boot ! )As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0 -

WANTED W****** PLEASE: Scooter
Hi my daughter has just been on her big brother's scooter and cried when we took
her off, she is now asking for one of her own.
Has anyone got one that they don't use anymore please as she would be so
greatful to rehome it.
She is only 2 so will accept either a toddler version or a bigger 2 wheeled one
where you can drop the handle.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can offer us something and make a little girl
very happy.
I think this is ok TBH. Rather than buy another scooter to keep her happyh, they'll collect an unwanted one and save it from going to the tip.
If it were me, I'd be delighted if I got a freebie, but they'd be practising their sharing skills if we couldn't get one.
I guess in the summer, it's nice for the two little ones to be able tot scoot to the park together ~ you'd not expect them to share a bike would you?I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
I've just posted an item on mine, a shed, reminded people as I always do that I only respond to polite requests, no please and your message gets dumped. So far I've had 4 responses, 3 with no manners.
Am I expecting too much of people? I don't want to hear about their bad lives & why they deserve a free shed more than anyone else or to have grovelling messages. All I would like is, a simple please.
I always, always say please, and am truly grateful for all items which come our way, and hope the same is said of those that we pass on.
However, I am guilty of blurb, I just kinda think it's nice to know that someone's collecting your free things for their or someone close to them's use, rather than to be car booted or ebayed.
I don't do essay type replies, just something like,
'please could we have the curtain poles, as ours are past their best, due to small son practising his spiderman moves.
Kind regards
GT
TBH, I am more likely to offer to those who I think has the most need. When we gave away bunk beds, we were inundated with requests, some really needed them, but we chose the family we felt needed them the most, and was really pleased to be able to help out, bless her she was so pleased.
Mind you, sometimes falls flat on our face. I gave away a beautiful swing set, again was inundated. I chosse the lady whose little girl would dearly love a swing set, as her friends had one blah, blah single parent, recent seperation. I shan't fall for that sort of sob story again, mother turned up in a 2 year old range rover ~ IMO, she robbed someone who really didn't have any money of the opportunity to treat their child.
We only got rid as we'd moved house and it was too big for the garden, it was only a year old!I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
