yes it would be, all 7 blocks, 6 with 2 elevations, 1 with 3 elevations, better to have all staff in one complex than spread all over the town in different offices, entrance opposite a golf course, played a few rounds on there too.
They even put a big screen up for the world cup in the canteen.
    Next question!!!

thats the second time you've resorted to silly, childish, offensive name calling on this thread to justify yourself.

Coming from someone who thinks and has advised on this very board, that you drill joists for pipes thats very very rich.

Mmmm. You will have noted that all I am doing is questioning the efficay of these "wrap your house in clingfilm" products and commenting on your seemingly grossly inflated and verging on the scammy pricing methods. I have a built in dislike for those that rip people off and by continually dodging the questions you are making yourself a target.

    Cheers
What so now your saying plumbers don`t drill to run pipes rather that knotch out, why do they angle drills then.

Right then - heres a test for you. These "typical" houses all have 100 sq metres of walls to be rendered have they? The scam I'm smelling is to inflate the work requirement in order to justify the inflated cost. Do give us all a break.

BTW I had a quoting day today. Visited 5 semis of varying sizes and with the householders permission I measured the areas of render or renderable brickwork. Would you like me to post the results just so that people can see what a nonsense 100m2 is and just how expensive your stuff is on a meterage basis? I suspect not - but I will if you ask nicely.

    Cheers
pic 1 will have 1 window only on 35/40 mtr gable, and the rear does not have two bay windows, a porch type entrance or the red tiling like the front.
Pics 2&4 would not be 100 mtrs no, there newer built and there half face brick on the front only, we don`t render face brick or didn`t you know that!

as for your 2 drawings! what are they? there new build 2 bed houses that are sold as 3 bed cos the 3rd bedroom is a cupboard really.
And as i keep telling you, we don`t take windows out of the measurement, it can take 3/4 hours for a 3 bed semi to have all the beads set, then you have to wait for the beads to set before apply any muck, we charge linear mtr per bead set

Funnily enouigh I did which would be why I'm still questioning 100 square metres of materials for a 3 bed semi.rolleye.gif

No you told me you have to take it into account in your labour which principal I completely agree with. My point remains that if you charge for 100m2 of materials at £14.00 a bag (that only does 1m2 per bag) irrespective for any 3 bed semi then only use 50m2 you are overcharging to the tune of, oh, £700 and thats a lot of dosh and in my eyes a total rip-off.

Just a little bump as you haven't been back for 24 hours to continue the discussion.:D So, assuming that your meterage rate is preferential for a residential project lets assume that 100 square metres = the low end at £ 5k - your figures not mine remember. And being just as generous lets assume it remains at 50 quid a metre for commercial work then £230k / £ 50 = blimey - thats more than 4,000 square metres of rendering.

Just a thought then - what on earth did they do with all that lovely terracotta cladding that was originally hung as a curtain wall over an aluminium framework?
They even put a big screen up for the world cup in the canteen.
Nice! Chris Gent was a bit of a football fan.
