are you sure the grey is not an undercoat for the rendering ?

dont think it will be blocks

scratch it a bit and see what happens !

the standard height for a semi is 5,4 mtrs and between 90 and 110 mtrs all round, not 10 mtrs that would make it between 170 and 190 mtrs and at £22 a mtr your over charging by £1760
  • Hi.

This week I had Sheild Tex round to quote for my 1900 mid terrace front and rear coating and was expecting to pay around £3k. Imagine my astonishment when the quote was.... wait for it.... £10k. However, obviously if I signed up immediately I could have it for £7k and receive £250 for each referal I put forward if they signed up too. Probably the biggest laugh was the finance offer of £150 per month for 10 years at 19.9% interest. Would probably turn out to be more like £20k by the time the bill was settled.

The product did sound good but I suspect that this was due to a well put together and rehearsed sales pitch and having previously worked in sales for years I wasn't convinced. I've been doing some digging around on the web and too found that Sheild Tex seem to have something to hide and is the main reason for their name changes (formerlly Protect-a-Coat and a division of Turner Enterprises) but I haven't been able to find out what yet. I have also found other companies on the web which state they use the same materials which were claimed to be unique and patented by Shield Tex (basically marble chips and the Goodyear Pliolite resin technology) and strangley enough the multiguard website also described the coating as "skin like" which formed the basis of Shied Tex's 2 hour sales pitch and quote!

    I wouldn't recommend!
