Yesterday I received another response from Andrew Woodvine regarding my complaint over this matter:Andrew_Woodvine wrote:Hello Andy
Thanks for your email to Paul.
You are not currently eligible to cancel.
There has been no change to the terms and conditions of the contract between you and us.
If we contact you to tell you that we'll be charging you for data once you've used 500MB and the effect of this is that it increases your overall bill by more than 10% then you can ask us to cancel your contract and we will.
Commercial decisions that we make are outside of Otelo's terms of reference so we won't be issuing you with a deadlock letter.
All the best
Andrew Woodvine
Customer Relations Adviser
Vodafone Limited
... and this is what I sent in response:Andy_Wicks wrote:Andrew,
Since you are saying that no changes have been made to our agreement, can you then confirm that a charge of £5 per additional 500MB for out-of-bundle data usage has not and will not be introduced. I have had it confirmed by numerous members of Vodafone staff, including yourself, that at the time our agreement was signed last year that there were no out-of-bundle data charges and so any charges now in place would have to be new ones.
If you are unable to confirm the above, then you previous assertion that no changes have been made will be proven incorrect and I will be forced to take this up with OTELO. This is a contractual issue - not a commercial one - and so it does fall under OTELO's Terms of Reference.
Regards
Andy
If I manage to get a response to my email then I believe that will give me clear direction; if they confirm that I will not be charged then I will leave the matter alone; if they confirm that this is a new charge then the matter will be taken up with OTELO.
...although I am not too hopeful of a decisive response to my question!

Would be interested in the reply too! This is the absolute crux of the matter and one that Voda have been skirting round very carefully all along!0

Have you guys not been able to get in touch with somebody specific and keep a conversation back and forth?
I object to asking for reassurance and clarification only to be told something different from the public statements. Either it's misleading me or misleading the few members of the public who read the statement.
The list of questions and answers is now largely edited out of the statement on the eForum - presumably because some of it was incorrect or misleading. Though there are several posts on the main discussion thread on the eForum referring to the previous statement and saying that they are correct!0 -

I am dealing with someone called Andrew Woodvine. He has been my main contact (with the exception of one email when Paul Bolton replied) during the processing of my complaint.

I posted a month ago on another forum and have been continuing to do so since the eForum was locked/censored to this kind of enquiry.

I'm lucky to an extent that Vodafone are continuing to post there so have replied to me, but with a promise of responding to my email this morning with answers. Just have to wait and see what they are.0 -
Are Vodafone and O2 getting their data made up by the same people - both are claiming that 97% of customers are using less than 500MB per month!
Coincidence....?

Does anybody know of a reliable way of saving out the thread over on the eForum?
http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/topic/57718-mobile-internet-will-the-500mb-allowance-be-enough-for-internet-usage/
I've tried the download & print options but they only include posts up to 7th May and the thread continued till 10th June!
I've a number of copies of the statement, and some of the earlier posts in regards to the 500mb limit and charging customers, but it makes sense to have the entire thread to refer back to later.0 -

Nope, unfortunately I have the same problem - tried both the print and the save button a couple of weeks ago and, like you, can only get until 7th May - I guess VF's systems can't cope with a thread that size (why doesn't that surprise me...)Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
It'll be more likely to do with the forum software that is probably off the peg. Don't get me wrong i'm not making excuses for Vodafone, but i'd rather criticise them when they deserve it instead of for everything haha0

Load each page, use print screen and then paste to Photoshop or similar. That will keep a full record of Vodamoans inept shenanigans.0
