I can point you to a 250 gig file to download if you really want to masturbate over data transfers.
Gwan, give it a shake0 -
i have a feeling that youtube is fairly heavily compressed, so you might not have used as much as you think, streaming iPlayer would use more.
I cant use iplayer on my phone, bloody i8910. Anyway just got my text today, took about 5 hours of youtubing to get it, now just gotta do the same next monthI can point you to a 250 gig file to download if you really want to masturbate over data transfers.

would be a difficult download, I haven't seen any 250GB memory cards to download the file onto..........................
I think the object of the data usage is downloading without breaking their terms, and tethering would break them.====0 -
HTC Desire page now shows 1024MB as the data plan for Desire phones:
http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/catalog/compatiblePlanListView.jsp?dependantSkuIds=sku2500030&phoneType=null&skuType=phoneSku&selection=null&_requestid=216037
I'll call up tomorrow, and ask to have that one, since my contract is less than 14 days old.---reech!

Well I'd like to report yet another Vodafone bodge up.
I *thought* things were sorted after I received an email confirmation on 2nd June that I was migrated to 1GB data, with no other changes to my existing texts and minutes allowance ("unlimited" 3000 texts, "unlimited" 3000 minutes to landlines and 1200 minutes) and no change to the duration of my contract.
However... got a text yesterday evening saying I'd gone over my 500MB montly data allowance so emailed the web team back to ask them what was going on and please sort it. It turns out that they've "made a mistake" and that to migrate to 1GB data, I'd have to give up my unlimited landline allowance so the system didn't save the changes they made... They refuse to honour what is on the confirmation email as it was mistake by their agent... and I am now back on my original plan of 500MB "unlimited" internet.
I have never seen such a display of total incompetence and "no can do" attitude...
Edit: have now emailed both the overall and UK CEOs asking them to honour the deal as per the email confirmation from 2nd June...
Edit 2: the lovely and helfpul VF eForum staff have now deleted my post where I said I had emailed the CEOs - I didn't give any names or email addresses but they didn't like that anyway... apparently "it may confuse other forum members"Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
No doubt you get a blank response from then when you ask what you should think of repeated displays of incompetence. I don't see the point in flogging a dead horse, but Vodafone do need a kick up the backside as their recent CS performance is atrocious.0

I know Chris, though you never know... I sent the CEOs a lovely email of which I am very proud
. Suitably short and to the point with a neatly numbered set issues, fully referenced with names and dates and a clear indication of what I expect them to do

This is unfortunately my experience with most mobile phone companies. Poor training for staff seems to be at the heart of it. I lose count of the number of 'deals' I've been offered which have later changed or 'could never have existed'
It seems with some companies, even getting it in writing is not good enough, as they later claim it was a 'mistake'. Whilst I can accept mistakes entering tariffs onto the system can be made, these appear to happen far too frequently to be attributed to this nearly every time.0
