So. My current usage is 147MB and is due to reset on 7 June 2010.
If I start fleecing it by using Tethering will they know?
no need to take a chance with tethering, there is an app called "beebplayer", switch off wifi, attach a charger and open beebplayer and have some BBC TV streaming overnight (or even a few nights).====0 -
By introducing 1gb packages vodafone have clearly shown that 500mb is anything but unlimited.
So it is impossible for them to have people on unlimited deals when there are capped tariffs that offer 100% more than the unlimited one.
They were allowed to call 500mb unlimited because so few people went over it, clearly by introducing 1gb they have shown that this is no longer a FAIR limit.... And it is why they have now removed all trace the word unlimited in relation to internet (well almost all - this is vodafone after all)TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
44 Web pages a day! that is of course if you have everything else switched off!
<H4>How about mobile data?
Some price plans also include a mobile data allowance. To keep it simple, 500MB a month will let you read and reply to over 100 emails, view 92 BBC news stories, and browse around 44 mobile web pages – every day. And 1000MB will let you read and reply to over 200 emails, view 184 BBC news stories, and browse around 88 mobile web pages.
Spend a lot of time online? Don't worry – we'll contact you before you reach your limit. And if you do keep going over, we'll help you find a new price plan.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
This thread was enough for me to avoid Vodafone and move to Tesco. I dont know how much that will impact there profit forecast this year lol !. But I cant be the only one.
Vodafone are like a duck on calm water. Gliding along the top pretending all is well and going like the clappers underneath trying to formulate a plan.0 -
I got some texts last night from 40506 while watching iPlayer saying:
"You have exceeded your daily 25MB data allowance. You may find a priceplan with a higher data allowance more suitable. Please call customer services for more information..... "
Anyone got one of these? How come I got this text when I have unlimited internet?0 -

Taken from the vodafone eforum:There is an article elsewhere on the Vodafone website as well as other places on the internet Dated 01 May 2008
http://www.vodafone....d_internet.html
“Our customers want simplicity and services that are easy to select, buy and use. Today with our new price plans Vodafone customers have the confidence to browse for as long as they need with no extra costs when checking their e-mail, visiting their favourite social networking sites or making a final bid on eBay,“ said Ian Shepherd, director of consumer for Vodafone UK. “This will make Vodafone not only the network of choice for voice and text but also the internet. And what’s more, all customers who visit a store to sign up to the new plan will benefit from Vodafone’s simple two minute set up for email so that they can leave the store up and running.”TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

I've just received a text from 40506 : You have exceeded your monthly 500mb data allowance. You may find a priceplan with a higher data allowance more suitable. Please call customer services for more information. To stop these messages text STOP to 40506. You have not been charged SENT JUN 03 blah, blah, blah...
Shall I just send STOP and carry on hammering the internet? :rotfl:0 -
Update for you : On the line to CS now who tell me that the £5 chanrge is not a new charge and has been applied since 2009...0
