no need to take a chance with tethering, there is an app called "beebplayer", switch off wifi, attach a charger and open beebplayer and have some BBC TV streaming overnight (or even a few nights).

By introducing 1gb packages vodafone have clearly shown that 500mb is anything but unlimited.

So it is impossible for them to have people on unlimited deals when there are capped tariffs that offer 100% more than the unlimited one.

They were allowed to call 500mb unlimited because so few people went over it, clearly by introducing 1gb they have shown that this is no longer a FAIR limit.... And it is why they have now removed all trace the word unlimited in relation to internet (well almost all - this is vodafone after all)

44 Web pages a day! that is of course if you have everything else switched off!

This thread was enough for me to avoid Vodafone and move to Tesco. I dont know how much that will impact there profit forecast this year lol !. But I cant be the only one.

Vodafone are like a duck on calm water. Gliding along the top pretending all is well and going like the clappers underneath trying to formulate a plan.

I got some texts last night from 40506 while watching iPlayer saying:

"You have exceeded your daily 25MB data allowance. You may find a priceplan with a higher data allowance more suitable. Please call customer services for more information..... "

Anyone got one of these? How come I got this text when I have unlimited internet?

Nope not received a text which is odd as i am already showing 200+mb for June.... and i havent streamed a single thing, this is just from having my phone on 24/7 with widgets set to max...

how do i find out my current usage, i have left my phone to sit through 3 of the longest videos on youtube (4 hours total) and still haven't received any text :eek:

Please call customer services for more information. To stop these messages text STOP to 40506. You have not been charged SENT JUN 03 blah, blah, blah...

Shall I just send STOP and carry on hammering the internet? :rotfl:

Update for you : On the line to CS now who tell me that the £5 chanrge is not a new charge and has been applied since 2009...
