:rotfl: We all like to have our say, that's the problem! :rotfl:

I find breastfeeding ones the best, on every forum, not just this one - they always get out of hand!

Yep, and in at number 2 would be the controlled crying technique :D - that one seems to open a whole other can of worms!

Number 4 - stay at home parent vs childcare :D

Although that one and BF often become one and the same!

    Yes - good one!

Come to think of it any of the child related topics we've mentioned can often become one and the same!

As you say everyone has an opinion and most topics are emotive so can go right off course - anyway on that note - sorry OP - I am doing just that :D

I think I did ask friends the OPs question when we began thinking of starting a family - I didn't know then what I know now - 2.5 years of experience made me wake up that conceiving children wasn't easy for every couple.

    BTW:
I breast fed and am happy others choose bottle feeding if it means happy mums and happy babies.

Weaning should begin when baby is showing signs of wanting more food.

Both my babies cried at bedtime from birth - we left them to it for a bit, soothed in intervals, and have had 2 kids that sleep through from 7-7 from about 3 months old. (now 5 and 3). They have never slept in our bed, and both got kicked into their own bedrooms at about 3 weeks old. And, surprisingly enough, they are not brain damaged, nor psychotic, nor feel unloved, nor overweight, nor emotionally detached or all those other things I have been told would happen to them.

And here's the best bit. I LOVE GINA FORD!!!!!!!

    I know!

Just thought I'd get it all out there now, in order that when the next thread starts on one of those topics and I just can't ignore posting, the sad person who chooses to go through my back posts to try to dig some dirt has it all in black and white and doesn't have to go back too far.

I've suffered with infetility problems. First conceived naturally after 18 months just as we were about to start treatment and now pregnant with a fertility treatment baby after 6 years of trying

I can well remember going on honeymoon and thinking I would conceive immediately but alas it didn't happen. I'm sure a lot of women have thought through the OP's question I know I certainly did. Desperately didn't want an August baby (which is what this one will be!!) as didn't want it to be the youngest in school.

The OP is excited and I'm sure everyone can remember that excitement when we first start trying to conceive. Unfortunately for long term ttcers it becomes harder to deal with and is a very personal battle.

However the OP should be entitled to ask her question without being told to appreciate whatever. She is allowed her excitement.

Hope all goes well for you OP and that it happens quickly. One thing I can say is that however long it takes when you hold your baby you won't care what month it is born in.

    Good luck
Give me the boy until he's seven and i'll give you the man.

Mine were born July and Feb and i didn't really have problems, yes the heat in July was a bit of a problem and when i had my dd in feb it snowed but i'd say it doesn;t really matter.

I saw a post saying that the older children in the class tend to do better than the youngest i have to disagree with that my ds is one of the youngest in his class and he is the top of his class at reading and spelling, so i don't think this has anything to do with the month he was born in.
