Tax Credits Renewal Pack - Can I Get This Any Quicker?

CTC arrived today, still waiting for WTC.
There's a definite change this year, previously both arrived in April and I would twiddle my thumbs waiting for P60s to arrive. This year P60s have arrived before Tax Credit forms.0 -
Thanks Pam, but it seems your last paragraph doesn't ring true as we still haven't recieved our renewal pack.
This is slightly fustrating as we are a very low income family who rely soley on ESA and DLA benefits and could make use of our potential underpayment to clear some debts that were accrued during the transition of working and falling ill.
Anyone have any idea how much longer we have to wait to recieve our renewal pack, and once returned the time it takes to recieve any underpayment due?
Many Thanks0 -

I waited 3 weeks for my forms to arrive.0 -
HI there all!
Still waiting for my renewal pack, any suggestions as I am due to have a baby at the end of the month and wanted to get it all sorted out, but when I called last week to advise on a change of circumstances they said I had to wait for the pack?
Thanks

I have not received my renewal pack yet, so have just rang the helpline and they said it had been sent on the 18/4/10, so he let me renew over the phone to save time re-posting pack.0 -
TaxCreditHelp wrote: »The Renewal packs are sent out in priority order EG first to claimants in receipt of benefits such as Income Support, JobSeekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance and Pension Credit. As long as you renew with us before 31st July your Tax Credit payments will continue as normal. If you still haven't received your pack by next Friday give the Tax Credit Helpline a call on 0845 300 3900 and ask them to check if it's been issued, however the helpline is likely to be exceptionally busy through the renewal period. Also, the renewal packs are sent out as Second Class post.
How can this be true as i'm in reciept of ESA IB and still haven't had my renewal pack issued?
Each time i phone the helpline i explain that i'm on benefits and just get told the renewal pack hasn't been issued and to phone back end on June if i haven't recieved it by then!
I'm beginning to fear that if what you state is true, i've been missed off somewhere, but no-one is able to check for me.
Any advice?

Panic over.
Managed to get through to them again today and was told my renewal pack had been sent last monday and can take 2 weeks to arrive.
I was told that although I am on benefits, as our claim ended in December we were put at the back of the queue.
So the benefit rule only seems to apply if you are still getting tax credits as well.
I did ask if i could renew by phone now as the system showed our renewal pack had been sent, but was told i can only do this when i have the renewal pack in my hand.
Let's hope it arrives sometime this week.0 -
I phoned the tax credit people on Saturday to report that I am being over paid at the moment and they said they could not do anything about it until I receive my renewal pack which could be up to the end of June. I find the system very frustrating as the adviser asked me loads of questions I had never been asked before. Also she gave me incorrect information and said that my savings (very little) were added onto my salary and counted as income. I queried this and she checked with her supervisor and said it was only the interest that was added to the salary figure. I wonder what other information she gave me was incorrect? Its very frustrating when they ask you to tell you immediately about any changes or if you are being overpaid but then turn round and say they can't process the information at the moment as the renewal packs are being sent out. Surely there is a better way of doing this.0

Ross - if you think you are being overpaid, you can do a quick check on entitled to to see what you should be receiving based on new figures, and just put aside what you are being overpaid so that you can pay it, or if they just deduct off of future payments - you still have the money available to you. It does take time to renew millions of applications each year - certainly not a quick job.0
