i renewed my tax credits on april 26th and at the same time changed my childcare details as they have reduced....
anyway today i received an award notice, but it says its still only provisional until they finalise my details.....
is this because my childcare payments decrease in the next few weeks (as we get a four week run on because they are paid in arrears)

any my potential payment of £85 never arrived, could that also be because they have not finalised my award yet ?

As I am new to claiming child tax credit following the birth of my first child in January, I was wondering if anyone could tell me when I could expect my renewal pack for the tax credits please?

    Regards

I got an extra payment the week after ringing the specialist line and my final award notice arrived this week (just under 3 weeks later)

  • If it hasnt yet been finalised, it may be that your renewal was incomplete or "incompatible" which means it has some contradicting information on it. Give the helpline a call and ask it your case is on a renewals worklist, and if it is, you should be able to sort it out there and then

This time last year I had received my tax credit renewal, renewed and gotten the reward notice in the post. Yet this year so far I still haven't received my renewal pack. I did ring the Tax credit office last week and waited half an hour on the phone to be told they have no idea when my renewal pack was posted but they can say it was requested on the 5th May. The advisor said that the date on the computer is the request date and not the sent out date. They don't know when it was sent.

I keep hearing adverts on the radio to remember to renew my Tax Credits over and over again. I WILL but will the Tax Credits office please send me a renewal pack so I can. It seems that without a pack I cannot renew but if the Tax Credit office doesn't send me one despite ringing them up and telling them I haven't got it, then my credits stop. What am I suppose to do ring every week and keep telling I haven't got the pack yet? How many times do I have to ring them before they might send me another one?

Its possible it may be lost in the post or perhaps or perhaps they've accidentally not sent them out at all. What happens if despite my numerous 'reminder phone calls' to the Tax Credits helpline I still don't get my renewal pack and therefore am unable to renew, despite it being no fault of my own? Am I still held responsible even though their own rules are preventing from renewing/making my annual declaration? And therefore will have to pay back credits because they won't let me renew?

I want to renew, but they won't let me..

I think perhaps they do send them out to those on not-taxable benefits first, I think this is probably due to the fact that they dont need to wait for a p60, im a B and I only got mine last wed, I have called them and everything, but not sure how long it is going to take!
