Tax Credits Renewal Pack - Can I Get This Any Quicker?

I've still not got mine either. I'm self employed as well and made sure I did my taxes early just so I had all the figures at hand. So here I am, with all the data and unable to renew since they cannot seem to send out packs this year. Every year it comes end of April or first week in May; this year nothing yet

So you are in the same boat as me? Like you say I have always renewed by the end of April so this year it's very late.

Thanks for replying I will interested to see how many other people have not received theirs

Not received mine yet, even though they said it was sent last Tuesday. Really annoying me now, want to go and have a go at the postman for not delivering it even though I know it's not his fault, lol.

Hi all.

I received my renewal pack on 29th April , i renewed over the phone that same day...had my ammended payments going into my bank account by the 6th May (just 7 days:T) and only received my paperwork this morning , 19th May.

Ps , i did notice somewhere else that the HMRC have started sending all paperwork by 2nd class mail so maybe that explains the delay?

i work for royal mail we are still getting loads going out so dont worry i think stop sending them out end of june

Mine arrived yesterday after they told me over 2 weeks ago it had been sent. I was expecting them to ask for some form of code from the paperwork to confirm l had actually received it and wasn't pulling a fast one, but they never....soooooo I'm wondering if those people who have already been told that theirs has been posted out, were to call them on the pretence they have received the form, how will CTC know??

Worth a try isn't it?

Yeah if they know they have sent it, surely their system will be live to take your renewal, so if you know it's on it's way why not just phone up and renew.

Nope they won't. Apparently you have to have physically seen what they had put on the renewal pack in terms of the existing data they have on you. Even though I know exactly what's on it and nothing has changed. Renewing is agreeing with that data, so imagine if they have it wrong and you have agreed to it.

You would think they would make renewal packs available through the government gateway to look at it and then to ring up to renew.. but no I guess that would be just too logical and why do it that way when you have spend millions on paper and postage instead.
