Tax Credits Renewal Pack - Can I Get This Any Quicker?

I rang the helpline yesterday to tell them I haven't received it, 15 days after the date on their computer and they said they have sent out another one. So, lets takes bets if I'll be ringing them up again on the 4th June telling them I haven't got the next one? What is up with them this year.

Still no pack today, 16 days after it was issued. Where has it gone? Ring them after 14 days as I wouldn't want my tax credits to stop and having to pay back provisional credits that I am entitled to because of their inability to post a letter. All of this is causing me allot of stress and I'm sick of it. Its just not fair.

I phoned working tax credits around a month ago to let them know about the change in my circumstances and they basically said they can't do it over the phone and to wait for my renewal pack which will come in the post. Has everyone else had there's by now because i am still waiting.

I would give them a call today, yes they are said to be open today. Tell them you are still waiting for it they can then re-send it. Or failing that if your circumstances have'nt changed you could ring them with figures to hand and tell them your wanting to renew. They don't seem to be asking for proof that you have received the renewal pack, as long as their computer tells them its been sent.

Remember though, if your circumstances i.e. hours have changed they will want the exact date these changes took effect.

I would hope that as its Sunday most people may not realise they are open so no longer periods of being on hold.

When you call the helpline they will be able to check the date your renewal pack was originally issued and if it has been over two weeks they can reissue it to you. The packs are issued by second class post so they may take a week or so to get to you.

Would you recommend to ring up to renewal even though one hasn't actually gotten a renewal pack/letter, despite it being sent out? Is that actually a legal thing to do? Or can we get into trouble like this?

I'm waiting for my renewal, normally it comes in early May. I'm glad its not just me, though! If the pack doesn't come by the 1st of June, I will phone them up.

Just called again. Third year on the trot have been told it was sent 3 weeks and I've not received it. They said they are sending it again. Funny its the only item of post that consistently doesn't appear.

After phone call on Monday to tell them that it hadn't arrived even though it was issued on the 4th May, this one was the second issue, took 2 days to arrive!! What happened to the origional pack :eek:
