Pleases can you tell me what has happened next? I recently did the same. My childcare provider has changed and the cost has gone down quit abit! Than 2 weeks later renewed after gathering details now just waiting for award

i am going to ring them today and find out whats happening... your tax credits will not decrease till 4 weeks after your childcare went down as childcare tax credit is paid in arrears....

If it hasnt yet been finalised, it may be that your renewal was incomplete or "incompatible" which means it has some contradicting information on it. Give the helpline a call and ask it your case is on a renewals worklist, and if it is, you should be able to sort it out there and then

just rang tc helpline, they say it was to late to update my childcare figures, so they have had to ask head office to put the figures in manually..... cant understand why it was to late, i told them the day my childcare reduced. . .

Tax Credits

I phoned them last week as was concerned my renewal hadnt arrived

I was informed it was sent out on 4th may and should give it two weeks to arrive

I have rang them again today to be told it wouldnt have been sent that day just prepared it would then be processed to be packaged and posted

It is so frustrating surely the long they leave it I could be being overpaid or underpaid..............

Having not knowing where I stand as tax creds changed so much for us last year with my partner being laid off then going back to work and I ve also over estimated is earnings by 2k. But with us being on benfits for 8 weeks I dont know to expect more or less from the tac creds

you'll get anything owed to you anyway

but if you were told it was sent on 4th, and they've said 2 weeks, phone them back again.

just explain you are aware it can take 2 weeks but it hasnt arrived today so you need it to be re-sent for you, the 2 week timescale they give is due to it being processed etc so it should still arrive within 2 weeks of the 'issue date' showing on system

If it's any consolation i'm still waiting for mine too.

I rang them 2 weeks ago to tell them my circumstances had changed, and was told to more or less go away and just fill in the pack when it comes.

Its not good how you suppose to budget and know where you are with your money when there simpy not willing to help

i know payments change before you get your award, i like to know whats in my bank so i can budget....

Am I the only person who has not received their tax credit renewal paperwork?
I stopped claiming in December as my partner moved in with me and he does not want to claim - when I closed my claim in December I received a notice that I had an overpayment of about 210 although would not become due until I completed an annual review in April 2010
