I surprised my hubby with a day trip to London, including a ride on the Eye and afternoon tea at the Ritz (booked beforehand). Not very money saving, but a thoroughly enjoyable day.0

Hiya
There are quite a few threads of a similar nature on the Families board which might inspire you, so I'll move you across...

I think by the age of 60 they'll have enough "stuff", so no ornaments. Perhaps a picture? What about membership of a club? What social activities do they have? If they're short of hobbies, perhaps you could suggest something and buy appropriately.......gardening........family history........rambling.......national trust membership?0
