As none of the recent posts are about money saving in any form - let alone how to do it Old Style, I suggest this post be moved to Discussion Time where I feel it would be more appropriate.
I have PM'd Pink Winged to ask her to move the postI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
Yes, different reasons, except that to me that does constitute substantiveness. A BG has done her job to which some take exception. That is the lot of the BG. Then a thread is started on another board to complain about her by an upset user. The BG responds by saying to her own board that now she's had enough and goodbye. She's entitled to express her feelings about this, in the same manner feelings against her were expressed.
The above is the situation as I see it on the basis of the thread started about PenPen in the feedback board, the linked thread she closed, and this thread.
Anyway, I'm no longer a regular inhabitant of this board so maybe I shouldn't have stuck my nose in, but this thread caught my attention and I couldn't just pass it by.
Fair point , but do two wrongs make a right? is one person more entitled than another to post such threads? Personally I think both threads were a grave mistake, but having been posted they will be responded to, and that is not the fault of those who respond.
With regard to the closed/ reopened thread, I did as I was asked and contacted abuse as well as commenting on the thread civilly.
If there had not been debate that thread would have remained closed, yet this one remains open despite much worse examples of rude, spiteful, bullying (and I use the word advisedly) posts. Where is the fairness in that?
You dont need to respond Q, I dont wish to draw you in further to this:D0 -

Nor was the OP, it should have been moved at the outset imo.0 -

Surely as the Board Guide for this board, who was resigning from being the Board Guide for this board, there was no more appropriate place to put it........IMHOI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
Poet I don't believe that thread would have remained closed, I think what has hapened would have happened in any case, I have seen threads reopened recently - can't even remember what the last one was about to be honest, but I think it was MSE Ben who reopened it, and we had one on here late last year which was closed and reopened after abuse had checked it.
ETA the thread you complained about which was closed was MRsE's thread on why her post had been closed. It hasn't been reopened AFAIK.It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -

So, you agree that it should not have been closed? and that abuse would have seen that too? I dont know either way really, not had too much experience with threads being closed and re opened. I refer to that thread not the one which was closed and not re opened. I was annoyed because I had objectedthe BG responded and then to avoid further response promptly closed the thread.Surely as the Board Guide for this board, who was resigning from being the Board Guide for this board, there was no more appropriate place to put it........IMHO
Had it been a simple "goodbye" I would agree,:) but it was anything but, in fact a rather contentious post (by design I assume) which was bound to attract comment and discussion about the content, not the position of the OP.0 -

It's ok, poet.
All I can do is repeat what I said in a previous post: BGs are human like us and have feelings too. They are not perfect and sometimes start threads to express their unhappiness about the way they are treated.
PenPen acted in a way many of us would when pushed to the limit. As for other bullying posts in here, we go back to the reporting procedure, which is the proper way of dealing with what we perceive as abuse.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
This isnt real life , we are all anonymous posters and could be anyone , it puzzles me why some people have such emotional attachment to people they dont knowVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0

Then, without wishing to appear unsympathetic, and knowing the posts others have endured ( I am thinking about one poster in particular who had her child maligned) I can only assume PP's tolerance was tried by posts other than the ones we have seen, and over a period of time, and that this this was the final straw, rather than the original weight.:D0
