You may or may not be interested to know I have received several PM's stating that they agree with what has been written and but that they cannot face the outright hostility to those outside the OS circle that has been shown here and so cannot post their views. A gang/clique is in evidence when people post that they have not read the offending comments (as several have done) and yet go on to make nasty comments about other posters just because they are long time OS posters.

With regard to the Little Hitler comment, Mrs E has explained and apologised for that. If that was the one comment which caused PP to resign as BG then that surprises me, but that is her prerogative. However, the inference is that there were others, and that as I was involved in objecting to certain actions that some of them were/could have been mine.

Where have I been anything other than polite or civil in getting across my pov? We had a difference of opinion, and yes, I am tenacious in certain areas, fairness being one of those areas, but I never get personal or rude, although I can return the compliment if pushed. Fortunately I rarely am, as facing a class of 17 year olds every day is good training for remaining calm under fire.:D

Me too, quite a few people who send supportive PMs but are put off posting because they don't want to go against the grain & bring a load of hostility down on themselves:(

Now maybes a bit of that rhubarb in a crumble (with honey for sweetening in my case:)) - and errr....I could put some sunflower seeds in with the crumble topping perhaps....(for a bit of added crunch and goodness....)

....and, of course, clotted cream with it in my case:D.....

...wonders off slavering at the mouth whilst thinking "Hmm....tonight's variation on cauliflower cheese is quite nice....think I might bear in mind steaming my cauliflower for a bit shorter time in future and have it a bit crunchier..."
