You can "judge" me or my family all you like (couldn't give a monkey's), it will say more about you than it ever will about me.......
Thats fine dont get super defensive, I shouldnt have used the term married since not everyone gets married these days but I was more reffering to been in a long relationship first, obviously I am not implying everyone doesnt wait but a fair few people dont wait. If you in a rock solid relationship for 10 years are you a single parent?
My elder sister had her first child when she was 18 and we all thought she made a big mistake and she was very lucky her boyfriends dad made sure he stuck around, it took him about 8 years to grow up but now hes a good father.0 -

I know for a fact some of them resent the younger generation for having so much freedom to be open - in the past it was something to be hidden being an unmarried mum. DD's granny was in that situation in the 1950s, so I do know it had a lasting effect on her outlook on life.
Sarahsaver you really should not generalise. How do you know for a fact what some of us older ones think? You apparently know ONE person, this is not a reasonable amount to base your conclusions on. I know a lot of young people who are rude, loud and aggressive in their manner but I do not suggest that they all are.0 -

The older generation did indeed fight a war. Many of them lost members of their close family and friends to keep Britain free from Nazi invasion. They did this for themselves, your mothers/fathers and therefore in turn you.
Elderly folk die of hypethermia and malnutrition because the benefits they recieve don't cover the heating and basic needs, while other sectors can afford <will not make suggestions or i'll be accused of picking on people> certain luxuries at the expense of the tax payer.
I am not 'elderly' for the record. I am 27, but know who deserves respect."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -

I find that remark highly offensive BS. My parents along with those of many thousands of others of my generation did fight in the war, with honour, dignity and pride. To suggest they have a chip on their shoulders is beyond belief.
Don't you ever watch the Remembrance Day Cenotaph parades? Limbless and worn down very old soldiers of both sexes, holding themselves erect in memory of their colleagues who were not so "lucky".
I wish you would retract that remark, it is highly insensitive.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

How come all the elderly people I know eat in pubs every day and go on those escorted holidays which cost £600 odd each? Maybe they sacrifice heat for that?2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Are they ones who have had their houses taken off them to pay for their care, or the ones that live in the treehouse at the bottom of the garden with the fairies?"On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of."
