I have had such a lovely response from freecycle regarding a post where I asked for any extra plants and I am getting:
Strawberry plants, Tomato plants, leeks, raspberry canes, a tay berry plant and a load of seeds ready to be planted now
Also got a blackcurrant plant for 99p today reduced in Lidl! Oh! And found out I have a elderflower bush at the end of my gardenFeb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -
I am so pleased with finding those definitely! Well done on getting the plants from freecycle that's lovely. A lady in Homebase asked if I'd like one of her tomato plants as I was looking at the reducred ones, I declined with having about 8 of my own but that was a nice thought.Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0

Now just need to find some free topsoil/compost to fill them!
Managed to find someone offering topsoil on Freecycle. Downside was that it had to be dug up and deweeded.
Now have 2 beds containing beans/sweetcorn and herbs/salad leaves/radish etc.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

Went for a walk round the lanes here and noticed that someone must have thrown some garden waste on the grass verge. Noticed a lovely perennial geranium and some blue irises both in flower. So I went back later with a trowel and dug some of it up. Ground here rock hard due to lack of rain so couldn't get all the roots out with my trowel. They are now potted up ready to go in my garden once they have grown a bit more. If they survived being thrown away, I am sure they will thrive with a bit of TLC.0
