My aunty moved into a new house at the start of the year and the previous owners left it full of stuff. She's hired loads of skips and I dread to think what has been thrown away (she was trying to throw away 3 bikes in GC!).
DH noticed that there was a load of bricks lying which were earmarked for disposal. We''ve rescued them and there's about 250 monoblocks, edging and loads of bricks. Also found a container which will hopefully become a water butt and a terracotta pot! :T Timing is great because we're hoping to start tackling the garden on Sat. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -
I got a load of bubble wrap squares and a large piece of polythene from the lady who does the flowers at work. I have sellotaped it all together to make a warm cover for my tiny plastic greenhouse. I also picked a lot of mint today and made 8 jars of mint sauce. My oh and dd eat it on everything.0

When I was a child, a neighbour split off a clump of perennial geranium for us.
Every time anyone in our family moves, they get a piece. Goodness knows how many gardens it has supplied over the years.
My clump had got a bit big, so I've split it into 10 pieces and planted them along the bottom of a hedge boundary that was pretty much nothing but weeds. With a bit of luck they'll soon spread and tidy everything up...for freeimport this0 -
