Frugal gardening, what frugal gardening did you do today?

We paved this section using slabs lifted/dug up from other bits of the garden. It's not quite finished, and will never be as pretty as using new slabs, but I'm happy with it.
Part of this section is hard-standing for the wheelie bins, and at later date I'll be building a building gated screening; hence the post holders.0 -

thanks bertiebots

It has been a bit of a labour of love, as some of the slabs are 4" thick and VERY heavy. No two flags are the same thickness or size, so getting it level was...erm...interesting!0 -

I've been after a greenhouse for ages and found one advertised just near where I live for £60. When I got there he said we could have it for £40:eek: It's 6'x4' and just needs a couple of pieces of glass replacing which should be cheap enough. I know it's not exactly free but I thought it was a bargain:D I've also been given some pallets and hubby is going to make a couple of benches for the inside for me, very frugal me thinks! I'm definately having a good week
Feb GC £80 per week (Well I'm gunna try:whistle:)

We have been frugaltastic today! On our way home we found a pile of 8 decking squares left out for the bin and my MIL had a golden sandstone fireplace removed and we used the bricks to build a fire pit. All very exciting!!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Well done on getting one from freecycle:T I tried for ages but gave in in the end and bought a second hand one. It took us about 2 hours yesterday to dismantle it (in the rain:mad:) We were so tired and wet when we came home that we just left it in the car but we are going to tackle it this morning:DFeb GC £80 per week (Well I'm gunna try:whistle:)

I found my fave type of plants, free ones from the birds, well in exchange for some seeds and nuts on the bird table!
I found 5 hawthorns, 3 Cotonaster and 4 wild roses.0
