Hi everyone
I'm back and feel very refreshed and ready to go after my little break. I see I have got some catching up to do
I'm sorry that you can't stay in the challenge LJD1, I for one will definitely be starting another challenge after this one as I have got lots of debts to clear  so hopefully you can take part in another one soon
Anyway, I'm off to find some more stuff to Ebay - I'm going for the minimalist look

Glad you feel good after your break. We had a night away last weekend and it did us the world of good.
I've got 2 things on ebay at the minute, hopefully they'll bring in nearly £100 between them.
Just waiting for payday as we're getting a £650 bonus that will go straight off the debt. With one thing and another we're hoping to pay around £1200 off our credit card this month. We definatley wouldn't have had the motivation to get that money if it hadn't been for this challenge, so thank you Emily and a big thank you to everyone else spurring me on0 -
Wow Mrs Mug, that's so cool. Well done.
And thanks Moozie!
For me...I have news! I have set up a payment to leave my bank account on 1.9.06 to get me off the mark (I will update signature when it goes out) and...I sold a book on Amazon...so I will pay off a whole extra £4.42!! Whoooopeeeeee!
Still, it all helps I know.
I'll be off the mark soon! Can't wait.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Well done lookingahead. It is definately the small amounts that make the difference. I would have never of bothered selling books on amazon before - some of them have gone for a couple of pounds and it seems like a lot of effort..but they've added up to £50 in total now. Thats definately worth doing it for0

Hiya
I'm still watching this thread with interest. Glad you've had a good weekend away Emily and well done for getting off the mark Lookingahead. I'm going to sell anything I can on ebay through September. If it's not nailed down it's going!
Good luck everyone.

Good luck LJD1 with Ebaying.
I had a look on EBAY last night and I was most depressed. There are a few things I could sell but things seem to be going for literally pennies. I was most put off.
However hopefully you have much more exciting "stock" than I do! Good luck...sorry, I don't mean to sound negative.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

OK, some inventive people in here and I need an inventive idea.
I used to be a Tupperware Rep and then a Body Shop at Home Consultant.(not an overly successful one I have to say)
Consequently, I have a loft full of plastic and several boxes of bubble bath/cosmeticy type stuff in my garage.
I would like to get rid of it all but I don't want to give it away. Both Car Boots and Ebay seem to sell for peanuts and with the number of items I have, the listing fees would be prohibitive. Plus it is not going to be easy stuff to package up and post (thinking of smashed perfume bottles etc)
I listed all my body shop stuff and circulated it amongst friends and anyone who would look last Xmas. With Xmas approaching, it would seem to be a good time to try again.
Now, I know that whilst in my loft/garage, it isn't making money. However, before I give up and give it away with packets of persil, any ideas how to make it work.
Ideally, I would like to sell at what I paid for so we are looking at prices between 20%-25% off shop prices.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -
Hi FullTimeMum.
It would be better if you started a new, separate thread for this as you will get more people's ideas....this thread is specifically for a challenge that was set up (sorry if you are part of that challenge but I couldn't see you in the first 4 or 5 pages).
if you start your own thread you will have the whole Debt Free Wannabe society reading your story!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I think I'm shaping up to be the sole survivor on this thread. I'll still be posting when the rest of you are off on the Savings board.

Well the stuff that i'm selling from out house has done quite well over the past few months and i've probably sold about £200 worth. However, stock from one of my businesses is making about 43pence per item due to change in posting costs, ebay etc. I'm guessing that at least it's selling and then I can give up that little business when it's all gone. Look after the pennies and .... you never get rich, lol, that's how i'm feeling today!January budget
