Does anyone want to go head to head?

Hi everyone

I have just read Spamalot's great thread on her £3,000 challenge with her partner where they are competing to see who can clear a 3k debt first.

I really like this idea as I am very competitive and I think this would really help me to clear another debt.

The problem is that I don't have anyone to go head to head with so are there any DFWs that would like to take up the challenge?

I have got a Capital One credit card with a stupid rate of interest :mad: that I would love to clear. There is currently £977.83 outstanding on the card so if anyone has got a debt of a similar value that they would like to try and clear then please let me know and we can get started

Ive got a capital one card at 29% ouch! with a balance of £986.74. I want to clear mine by christmas.

Yes is there any timeframe? I have about £1150 to clear 0% but I only have until mid October (I think) to do it....

I thought that the point was to start off with a debt at a certain time and then see who can get rid of it the fastest?

No time frame - as Luckylukey said, the first one to clear their debt wins and the sooner debts are cleared the better!! I want to clear mine ASAP, I just thought that this would spur me on to do it more quickly.

There could even be more than 2 people clearing debts at the same time so that when the first person clears theirs, the others can carry on going

I haven't got a debt of that size exactly, but would like to have a challenge with someone? I've got a credit card with a balance over £7k (sob sob) so could race to knock a thousand off that as quickly as possible?

I don't see why not.

Maybe I should put a limit on this of 5 people so that it doesn't get out of hand.

So if anyone has got a debt of approx £1,000 that they would like to clear then reply to this post saying that you want in on the challenge.

The 1st 4 people to reply can join and then we can start straight away

I seem to be getting my enthusiasm for clearing my debts back again even with a chest infection . This will really spur me on to clear another debt.

I can't wait to get started
