Everyone else is having such a good start!
I had a good chat with the OH last night and he told me he was going to do some extra overtime and save up his 5p and 50p's.
Also I'm going to add my £2.00 savers money(Not much at the moment)
and my 20p savers money.
Will see if I can find anything to sell on ebay
And will also be adding any travel expenses I get from work to the pot.
Good luck everyone:beer:0 -
I wouldn't have a limit on numbers for this challenge - the next thing you know, there's an exclusive club. Then someone else starts an exclusive club, then there's arguments and b!tchiness. It's happened before, it starts off well and ends up with lots of bad feeling.
Great challenge though :beer:Bulletproof0 -
Ahhhh! Am feeling as though I'm left behind - I'm not going to be able to pay anything off mine until at least tomorrow, as am waiting for money from amazon and payplan to clear. Have cunning plan to sell some more stuff on ebay, and I have an old annual on there now that will hopefully go for at least something! But I want to pay something off NOW NOW NOW!I've given the OH an ultimatum that if he doesn't cash in all the loose change he has accumulated (about £10 worth!) by Saturday morning, then I'm claiming it as my own for this challenge! Brilliant idea for a runners up prize em! (Rolls up sleeves) Right! I'm off on a money making mission!Official Debt Free Wannabe Nerd Club member 095! Debt Now:

Great challenge though
Hi
I wasn't trying to exclude anyone at all. It's just that it is kind of built up as a contest and it's designed to try and spur everyone on to clear their debt the fastest when maybe it would have taken a lot longer to do so.
Also to make this work everyone needed to have a similar sized debt and at the end it will be nice to see the very last person clear their debt and then the challenge would have reached it's conclusion and everyone will have roughly £1,000 less debt than at the start of the challenge and everyone wins. Obviously if we had a lot of people doing this then we would never reach the end when all the debts had been paid.
Hope this makes sense

Don't worry, I haven't cleared any off mine yet either, I'm going to list a load of stuff on Ebay later on this evening. I'm just going to go hunting around for anything that I think would sell.
When I've sorted out a little runner-up prize then I will let you all know what it is as an incentive. :dance:0 -
If you don't all mind I might lurk on this one even though I won't be joining the challenge officially. I'm trying to pay off my student loan to give me a nice psychological boost before getting started on my egg loan but the balance is a bit too high to work in tandem with you guys. I will keep an eye on the reaching a 1000 target though and nick all of your good ideas if that's ok!!! :money:
Incidentally, I think it's 10p listing day on eBay today.......Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96
