Bagsie me then! I've got a debt of around £1,500 but they'll accept 2/3rds of that to pay it off which, if my calculations are correct, is £1,000. I'll be putting my funds into a savings account so that I can present it to them in one fell swoop.
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

Go on then, we'll have six in the challenge. :D :j

    May the best DFW win!!

Ok so everyone now post exactly how much debt you are trying to clear and what the debt is.

My debt is £977.83 and it is a nasty Capital One credit card.

Are there any ground rules that people want to set or shall we just say clear your debt as quickly as you possibly can as long as it is by legal means ;)

When someone has paid some money off the debt or indeed saved some money towards it if it can't be cleared gradually (ie a loan) please post on here how much as been paid off and how you managed to do this (ie regular monthy payment, mystery shopping money etc).

Likewise if any interest gets put on the debt please post that too so that we know who is winning.

Good luck everyone - I'm going to enjoy this and it will be even sweeter at the end when I can tell Capital One where to shove their card!! :rotfl:

Right, my mission is to pay £1000 off my Bank of Scotland credit card as soon as possible.

    And we're off...
  • YEAY! Thanks for letting me join in too.
    ===================================================

I want to clear £1,129.10 from a NatWest Credit Card in 7 months (when 0% runs out) - however, snowball says I can clear in 5 months.

Due to 0% there won't be any money to add to the total.

I have a part-time job waitressing which is hectic in the summer due to the number of weddings, so I am aiming to use this money to clear the debt.

Clearing the debt with NatWest will be espesially sweet because I worked for them for five months at the begining of this year and hated it. They're not going to earn a penny from me!!!

    Let the Challange begin!!!!!!!!!:T :T :T

My mission is to pay off my Lloyds TSB debt/loan which will be around £1,000 as a settlement figure (they have already mentioned this to me). I'll be putting the dosh into a savings account until I have the required amount.

    £1 put in for starters.

Are we putting this into our signatures?

That's a good idea. I'm going to put it in mine under £1,000 challenge so I can keep track more easily.
