    Hi...

    That's interesting.

So they say they wont charge you if you go over - how much over can you go before they do begin to charge you - 3GB ?

Did you get this in writing ?, 'cos they do tend to promise the earth in order to get you to stay then go back on their word ?

Please get back and let me know, 'cos if you do have that in writing £20 a month over 18 months, a free HTC Desire, 600 mins & Unlimited texts, and unlimited (3GB+ ?) internet is a cracking deal.

BTW, did you ask to collect the phone, I'm assuming from a Vodafone store, or did they insist you collect.

    TIA,

    M :)

The chap on the phone said it was unlimited internet. I asked if there was a fair usage policy and he said yeah it's 1gb but its not monitered and would not be a problem if I went over.

They told me I had to pick up the phone at a store of my choice. They would text me when in stock.

Didn't receive any texts last week so phoned 191 the other. Told that I was on a £35 contract and my internet was 1gb. I asked to make a complaint and got put on hold for ages. Went back to work and got text

    Dear Vodafone Customer,

Your discount is applicable on your price plan it stated on * to *

your price plan includes 600 minutes Unlimited Texy (how its spelt on the text) Vodafone Passport Vodafone Mobile Internet for 40 pounds and it is now 20 pounds after discount.

Not really sure how much internet I do get but we had mobile broadband when we moved house and only used 1.5gb in three months so I doubt I will go over 1gb a month anyway.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi...

    Thanks for getting back.

There is a fair use of 1gb per month and it is capped - according to the terms and conditions Vodafone will charge £15 per GB if you go over your limit.

Also, if you wanted to pay Vodafone for a larger monthly download limit they'll charge £15 for 3GB & £25 for 5GB for the length of your contract - http://online.vodafone.co.uk/business/business-internet/broadband-via-mobile-phone .

I hope you have got a great deal and they honour there word but if I were you I'd insist on having your limits in writing because if you have been mis-sold it could work out costing you a bomb.

Have you logged into your Vodafone account to see what limits you have listed there ?

    Ouch!

I've been reading a lot of threads about Vodafone being poor.

I can't find on my online vodafone account the limits being set. The details of my price plan are

'Your Plan comes with 600 minutes + Unlimited Texts with Mobile Internet and Vodafone Passport' - It is also stating the wrong price of £34.05 :(

To be honest Vodafone shouldn't call it a FUP when its a hard cap and I'm going to get charged if I go slightly over. No wonder they have such a poor reputation. I've just given them a call and the phone is out of stock in the store. I think I should probably look else where now. I thought it was a pretty good deal but its turning in to a nightmare now.

    Thanks for your help.

If I were you I'd make a post on the Vodafone complaints thread on this site and state your concerns - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/295048

The Vodafone team that monitor that thread are very good, they soughted a £600 overcharge problem for me quickly.

So, make a post and ask to them confirm your bundle & price and they should get back to you within 3 days or so.

Let me know how you get on :)

Thanks for your help again Mark.

I went in to Vodafone today and my phone was in the store but on their database the phone came up with a different plan which had a 500mb internet hard cap limit.

Just been on the phone to complain again and now should be on 900mins, Unlimited Texts and Internet with 1gb FUP. Fingers crossed it works out ok. I'm fed up of phoning them.

Just got to wait for the bill to come through and see if its ok.
  • I might get the £25 a month from chitter chatter. BUT it doesn't say what you get internet wise - I keep having this problem!

If it's t-mobile you will get 3GB - you may have to phone there customer services if you aren't given 3GB by chitter-chatter, but it wont be a problem to put right.

Does anyone know if Chitter Chatter still have the Desire in stock? Also can I use a PAC code with them to transfer my number? I couldn't see it mentioned on their site.
