I just ordered a Desire from e2save.co.uk today.

I got an 18 month Vodafone contract (I really didn't want to be tied in for 2 years). 1Gb internet allowance with fair usage policy, unlimited texts and 100mins (I rarely call people, usually just email or text).

I had to pay £29.99 for the phone upfront but my monthly contract price is £30 a month. I also used Topcashback to get £46.50 back too (so overall it works out at £29.08 a month for 18 months).

My current network (T-Mobile) were offering me (as my renewal deal) the Desire for £30 over 24months which I really didn't want. They offered to drop it to 18months if I paid £35 a month instead.

I've heard very mixed reviews of e2save, so will see how I fare with them. Although I'm still waiting for my order confirmation to come through and it's been 4 hours since I ordered so I'm not entirely filled with confidence...

To be honest the tariffs for the Desire have getting slightly worse- must be popularity.

I phoned Mobilephonesdirect on monday and was told it will 3 weeks till they get more stock for T-mobile :(
  • Posted this on the vodafone thread but relevant here aswell I guess. 18 month contract, 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb data usage - first 9 months £17.50pm and the remaining 9 months for £35pm. This is via an early upgrade so can't haggle with my PAC code. Direct through the network - do you think I can get a better deal?

A word of warning Vodafone have done away with the fair use policy, that will be a hard cap.

Damn, guess I'll need to get another PAC code from O2 then. Probably shouldn't have jumped the gun but didn't think I would be waiting for over a month. Although I've heard that good things come to those who wait, so I'll try and see this in a positive light. :)

I asked for a PAC from Vodafone HTC Desire, 600 mins, Unltd Texts and Internet (1gb FUP but told wouldn't cost to go over!!!!) 18 months £20. Picking phone up on Saturday.

They wouldn't even consider a deal on the iPhone :(

    Hi...

    That's interesting.

So they say they wont charge you if you go over - how much over can you go before they do begin to charge you - 3GB ?

Did you get this in writing ?, 'cos they do tend to promise the earth in order to get you to stay then go back on their word ?

Please get back and let me know, 'cos if you do have that in writing £20 a month over 18 months, a free HTC Desire, 600 mins & Unlimited texts, and unlimited (3GB+ ?) internet is a cracking deal.

BTW, did you ask to collect the phone, I'm assuming from a Vodafone store, or did they insist you collect.

    TIA,

    M :)
