I called T-Mobile today and I asked the lady how much Internet I get a month. She said to me 1GB Internet to which I said I have an Android device. She instantly said to me, even before I asked, that it's set up wrong in her system and that it should have the "Plus" added to the Internet as its an Android device and I should get 3GB for free.

As soon as she did that she even said to me I might as well change my Flexible booster to something like Unlimited landline/Texts/T-mobile to T-mobile calls. So I opt for the Unlimited texts. Didn't even have to ask, let alone argue. Extremely polite lady and knew exactly what she was talking about.

I find it odd and unfair that some people here are struggling to get T-Mobile to change it.

I was called at 5.15 by Buymobilephones who informed me that my Desire is being dispatched tonight at long last.
Now all that is left to do is get data increased to 3 gb and hopefully get them to lift speed limitation.

I am hoping that mine is being sent soon, as I ordered a week after u and still not heard nothing even though they have had stock in. Hope they had enough in to cover back to my order.

Im hoping when I ask for my PAC in August that I can wangle a 3GB allowance, 300 mins + texts from Vodafone.

If they say no I will emigrate to T-mobile - I'll let you know how I get on.

I just spoke to Buymobileohones, no more deliveries for at least a month, may be longer. I haven't placed an order though, so the situation might be different for those who have placed an order already.

I asked for a PAC from Vodafone HTC Desire, 600 mins, Unltd Texts and Internet (1gb FUP but told wouldn't cost to go over!!!!) 18 months £20. Picking phone up on Saturday.

They wouldn't even consider a deal on the iPhone :(

I am in the same situation, first time order with them and T-Mobile. It does annoy me that companies dont seem to consider sending out stock to peolple who have been waiting for it. But congrats on getting hold of one.

Just had this from Mobilephones direct as to why I have not received a phone yet, I ordered last Thursday

" Oh right, well phones that are returned within the 14 day period are sometimes sent out. Looking at an email I received from our purchasing manager, there are a few that are being rekitted and sent back out to customers so it was possible one of these."

A new batch of Desire's are due in on 6th August
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!

I just had the same sort of convo, when pressed on the fact I had been told 10-14 days for delivery they just shrugged it off...

I just ordered a Desire from e2save.co.uk today.

I got an 18 month Vodafone contract (I really didn't want to be tied in for 2 years). 1Gb internet allowance with fair usage policy, unlimited texts and 100mins (I rarely call people, usually just email or text).

I had to pay £29.99 for the phone upfront but my monthly contract price is £30 a month. I also used Topcashback to get £46.50 back too (so overall it works out at £29.08 a month for 18 months).

My current network (T-Mobile) were offering me (as my renewal deal) the Desire for £30 over 24months which I really didn't want. They offered to drop it to 18months if I paid £35 a month instead.

I've heard very mixed reviews of e2save, so will see how I fare with them. Although I'm still waiting for my order confirmation to come through and it's been 4 hours since I ordered so I'm not entirely filled with confidence...
