HTC Desire - best deals I've found

Just opened the package from mobilephonedirect. Initial impression was dismay at how they sent the phone. Absolutely NO packaging -- the htc desire box was just shoved inside a plastic citylink giffy bag left to roll around with the free car charger.
The phone doesn't look brown or silver, it looks purple. At first I thought they sent me the wrong phone. Even still, it looks nice and it just feels better than the iphone and slightly lighter.
It's on a 3hr charge at the moment but I will be complaining to mobilephonedirect for sending it in such a manner. A £400 phone, or any expensive electronic device, shouldn't be shoved in a bag with absolutely no packaging, even if it is inside the manufacturers box imo.
Anyone else received yours like that?
I'm trying to think back to mine. It was a DHL delivery IIRC, and I'm fairly sure it was just in a DHL wrapper. Wasn't too bothered- quiet a sturdy box and the phone was well protected.0 -
In regards to buymobilephones.net the Orders placed now can be expected in Mid August, they are working through roughly 400 Orders and there is not enough supply of those, HTC just cant make them fast enough...
Mine was delivered an hour after I had to leave home this afternoon  Should be with a neighbour now though so an early morning wake up for them!0 -
Ordered from mobilephonesdirect Sunday 11th July, credit check went through very fast and it's just arrived today Weds 14th July. Really happy with the service. Here's to hoping T-Mobile will upgrade me to 3GB internet (as standard, not as a Flexible booster per there website) and add another Free booster on top.
£119 for the phone
£15 a month
300 mins / 300 txts
1GB (3GB?) internet allowance
24 months contract
= £479 - £30 (cashback from topcashback) = £449
= £18.71 effectively per month
Not bad at all! Also comes with a free official HTC Desire car charger and 4GB micro SD card0 -
With orange does the HTC desire come with a memory card in the box?
Or will I need to get one / haggle one into the deal?
Anyone know if orange has any HTC Desire's in stock at the moment?
If not anyone know when they are getting a new delivery in?0 -

I can't that offer on the website: http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/Brands/HTC/b509/p31043.aspx
Can you enlighten me? Thanks0 -
My HTC desire got delivered this morning, my gf was at home to take delivery, cant wait to finish work and play with it.
I ordered mine yesterday at lunchtime through mobiles.co.uk who have stock at the moment but its going quick. The ad says it does come with a 4gb card but not sure if thats standard or because I ordered through a reseller.
cheers

I have placed a second order for a HTC Desire now, this time with BuyMobilesDirect Who I hope will have stock quicker than BuyMobilePhones.
As soon as I get dispatched notice I will cancel my order with BMP.net, Simply put I think they are unable to fulfil my order quickly enough, and what with my current phone quickly failing it became an matter of urgency.0
