I placed my order on the 30th and my account is still saying "Order in processing." as of 2 minutes ago.
Mobilephonesdirect evening of Monday 12th July. If you're talking about buymobilephones then I'll be cancelling mine on receipt of this new order. I think Mobilephonesdirect may be out of stock now though.0 -
@FF: I think we're all talking about mobilephonesdirect orders... go back a page or two to where Blackadder prints a live chat discussion with them about T-mobile packages.
Thanks for that. I did see the previous Live Chat discussion but for some reason didn't put two and two together. Ah well the wait for the Desire continues...
The galling thing is that my HD Touch is dying on me, it keeps turning it self off and on again randomly. I have done a Hard Reset and it is still not any better. It must know it is going to be replaced!0 -
It's here. Sweet.
For those wondering - and I was - had to ring T-mobile to get registered. Had PAC code ready and waiting.
Immediately changed text bundle to unlimited internet but was told it was 1GB not 3GB, despite it being a Desire phone. Not in the mood for arguing now so have left it for the moment ...0 -
Ordered from mobilephonesdirect Sunday 11th July, credit check went through very fast and it's just arrived today Weds 14th July. Really happy with the service. Here's to hoping T-Mobile will upgrade me to 3GB internet (as standard, not as a Flexible booster per there website) and add another Free booster on top.
£119 for the phone
£15 a month
300 mins / 300 txts
1GB (3GB?) internet allowance
24 months contract
= £479 - £30 (cashback from topcashback) = £449
= £18.71 effectively per month
Not bad at all! Also comes with a free official HTC Desire car charger and 4GB micro SD card0 -
Mine arrived this morning as well :j, only downside is have to collect it from the city link depot 20 miles away...
Great service from MobilePhonesDirect0 -
In regards to buymobilephones.net the Orders placed now can be expected in Mid August, they are working through roughly 400 Orders and there is not enough supply of those, HTC just cant make them fast enough.
Might be worth going for Mobilephonesdirect at £25 a month with a free phone, instead of £20 with a 29.99 phone, and save the time if phone is needed urgent, otherwise waiting is a wiser option possibly.0 -
Ordered this morning from mobilephonesdirect on T-mobile and the order status is currently "Pending Stock". Hope the wait isn't too long...0

Just opened the package from mobilephonedirect. Initial impression was dismay at how they sent the phone. Absolutely NO packaging -- the htc desire box was just shoved inside a plastic citylink giffy bag left to roll around with the free car charger.
The phone doesn't look brown or silver, it looks purple. At first I thought they sent me the wrong phone. Even still, it looks nice and it just feels better than the iphone and slightly lighter.
It's on a 3hr charge at the moment but I will be complaining to mobilephonedirect for sending it in such a manner. A £400 phone, or any expensive electronic device, shouldn't be shoved in a bag with absolutely no packaging, even if it is inside the manufacturers box imo.
Anyone else received yours like that?0 -
a couple of things firstly why do people want a 4gb sd card free? there is already one included inside the phone............ secondly regards to the packaging the resllers do not actually open the phones they just put the box it in a delievery packet thats it! shocking i know! n thirdly to the perosn querying about the net on the android phone- phone them up and say you have an android phone THEY WILL HAVE TO CHNAGE IT the only way they will refuse is if the reseller has registerd the wrong imei number for the phone which happens alot0
