They may genuinely not have made their minds up yet. For example, me & OH haven't *quite* made our minds up yet when we're going to. I would be really hurt if one of my friends thought that I was being unreliable by not being able to make a life changing decision!
On a similar note, one of my bridesmaids has been saying for the last year that they 'may' be trying soon, but I know (sadly) that her husband isn't keen. But that bridesmaid has caused no end of trouble anyway!
Oh this isn't the unreliable part. She had always been unreliable, I've known her for 12 years and she's never been any different. Oh well ill be quiet now!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
when i started planning i had three adult bridesmaids and three children,
so far...
1 adult bridesmaid is pregnant - baby due 2 weeks after wedding and she lives 300 miles away so wont be coming
1 adult bridesmaid is longer our friend and not even invited to the wedding let alone in the bridal party
1 child bridesmaid is not allowed to attend thanks to her mentalist mother (my sister)
so now i have 1 adult and 2 children! *sigh*0 -
Oh no curious george!!!!!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140

I've had to "fire" one bridesmaid and now one of the ones I really wanted to do it can again but of course, I have a dress now in the size for the fired one and the previous one is much smaller - ARGH!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

emsbet, you must be so excited! I've said all along that I can't do anything about the weather so won't stress. But I know I will so totally understand!
Oh no Gemm can you find one on ebay etc? What is it? xxFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
I'm keeping an eye on Ebay every few days! It's a Jane Norman dress, I need it in an 8 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350448912815&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT (this is a 6 but BM said it wasn't far off fitting...)No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Back again! Grrrrr!
Put together a spreadsheet of costs and forwarded it to OH2B cos he wanted a breakdown, and he's gone and stuck in a sum for a free bar!
We have had the discussion about a free bar previously and I told him I didn't want to do it.
I'm not mean; I don't mind sticking a few hundred quid behind the bar for people to have 2 or 3 drinks on us (this is for after the meal which will include wine etc), but I do NOT want a free bar. People extract the urine, and no-one will remember the wedding better for it having a free bar.
He seems to think he has to spend money to get people to like him. It happens all the time - the first and last one to the bar, extra drinks for people, drinks for people he's only just met - and then he wonders why he never has any money!
Am so damn annoyed. We're paying for everything ourselves, going halves on most things, but I'm not going halves on this.
Edit: no, I'm really f~~~ing annoyed. In one sentence it's costing more than he expected, in the next he wants a free bar! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
I'm feeling like I might go slightly Bridezilla on the subject of photographers. Now we know we can't afford an expensive photographer, but H2B is railing about the cost of them full stop. He seems to think that photography is easy, and just about pointing the camera and telling people to smile. I have studied photography a little and there is so much that goes into taking a good photograph, from knowing about lighting and composition, to unobtrusively catching the little details and unseen moments. I'm worried that we'll end up with a boring album that misses out all the little details that I'm planning and want to remember, and that's just full of dull group photos that don't show that people (hopefully
) had a good time!

We went to a wedding where part of the 'favour' was pretend money for a number of drinks at the bar, so there was no way of taking the pi** from a free bar. Each 'note' had the value of 1 drink, so the maximum we could get was the number of notes we had!Married the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!0
