  • I only got 2 weeks of being the engaged one :(

On the plus side our weddings are completely different! Her's will be all huge as I know her HTB wants a massive wedding where as mine is very small and at the other end of the country with a raucuous reception back up north when we're done (We live up north but both have family down south so are having a family only southern wedding and a Northern !!!! up for a reception - get to wear my dress twice too!)
Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!?

Just don't get involved in the which band are you having/what colours/what kind of cake/my wedding will be bigger than yours..............

Or if you o, make sure you tell her a load of nonsense and then come back with something even better!

Now I don't think I've been very Bridezilla about any of the wedding things, but my fiance and I had the following conversation the other day..

Fiance: "could you do the stamps on one of the crackers for me so I know exactly how you want it?"
Me: ":D Are you suggesting I may have been a bit finickity about the wedding bits?"
Fiance: "Yeeaaah, just a bit :p"

It's um, just very particular attention to detail! :o

I got less than a week :( then the other bride booked her wedding in the same date as mine (despite me telling her the date so we wouldn't clash and she said it was fine) so I had to move mine!

OH and I were making our invitations this weekend, I had a few bridezilla moments of - 'Don't try to do them as fast as you can if you are going to do them wrong!', 'Yes 1mm does matter' and 'I know you have just sliced your finger open but if you bleed on the invitations I will kill you!'

    Damn being a perfectionist!

Oh wow, I am relieved - I had an almost identical discussion about where my fiance was placing the address labels on the invitation's envelopes :rotfl:

As for wanting to be "The engaged one", I had a Bridezilla huff when someone at work got engaged not long after me, because I knew I'd be sharing the section of the newsletter where they announce the name of anyone getting married. Those column inches were supposed to be all about me! :p

How inconsiderate  I'd be fuming!

Funny what wedding fever does to all all though! I've nearly had a row with my Mum already and we've not booked anything for definite yet!

That's extremely Bridezilla lol! I'd wear black with an appropriately coloured accessory.
