I called the registry office this morning to see what times they had and the answer was - all of them :j. I thought I would lose the £20 booking fee but she said if one of us goes in in person with some ID they can change it then for free so as it stands, we won't lose anything .

The only person who hasn't come back to me is the hair and make up lady but I haven't paid her a deposit and if she can't do it there are plenty of others. Have text OH and told him and asked what he thinks so hopefully we will make a concrete decision fairly soon. OH told his mum of our new plans last night and she said as long as she gets an invite she is happy, phew.

JTR so glad you've got things sorted! I'm definitely hanging around until you get married!

Can't wait to see your photos and I bet your OH will have the biggest smile out of the two of you on the day!

We have spoken tonight and he is 80/20 on moving it to April but I won't tempt fate by joining just yet, only once we get the date rebooked!

Argh, my OH has just had his ushers to-do list and venue plans for his brother's wedding this week, and looking at them his fiance is doing loads of the things I wanted to do, eg sweetie table, garden games.

She's not stolen my ideas or anything, they're everywhere online, but now I'm going to look like I'm copying her! And I was hoping that her posh manor house venue would be lovely but not very personal, and my cheaper wedding would be more personal and fun.

And she has green turtles! Those were totally my favourite sweet as a kid, they were the only one sweet I'd decided on *stamps feet*

I know how you feel - I just saw on Facebook my cousin's fianc! (they are getting married 3 months before me) is having purple bridesmaid dresses. I am having purple bridesmaid dresses! So it will totally look like I've copied

Due to our reception venue not being quite ready, we've had to postpone our day by 5 months which means my cousin now gets married before me, in the local church where amazingly, not one of my mother's family has been married. I was to be the first as the eldest grandchild. Not anymore

Not the biggest deal in the world, but still feel a little hmph! about it. Then she's having a beef main, and a hog roast in the evening (so are we!!)

Thankfully that's where the similarities end, she went to bring a photo up of her favourite bridesmaid colours on her phone to me recently, all I could think was "they better not be chuffing navy or I'm bringing out the death rays" haha, they weren't though!

I know I'm being a silly billy though; both our weddings will be as lovely as the other

I'm regretting my choice of venue : ( Just been helping my fiancee set stuff up for his brother's wedding later this afternoon, and she's got everything I wanted but done better, in a lovely stately house with beautiful grounds. I wish I hadn't booked the Hilton reception we have now. Hers looks amazing, and mine's going to look !!!!!!.:(

Your wedding day will be amazing. The only person comparing this wedding with your wedding will be you!

Everyone has different budgets and different priorities, but the most expensive weddings are not necessarily always the best or the most enjoyable. Remember all of the reasons why you chose your venue in the first place Your day WILL be really special
