This is being an ultimate bridezilla...so please don't judge haha
My H2B's brother will be one of the best men at the wedding and will be in full traditional kilt gear like the rest of the wedding party. His partner typically dresses really overly casual (jeans and a wrinkled button shirt at someone else's wedding) and despite requests from future BIL to wear a dress for the wedding, she point blank refuses to. I understand that it's important for people to wear what they feel comfortable in which is fine. Her alternative was to wear a trouser suit, which the last time she wore one was ill fitting and all creased which looked very messy in the pics. I know that this is totally judgemental of me, but i don't want her in the pics looking a mess and when planning to ask partners to join the floor for the first dance.
Boooooooo! I wish i could totally have the right to decide on the outfits of my guests haha
Don't let her join him on the dance floor for the first dance then- have the GMs and BMs dance together instead!!
Now that is a good idea.
no I wanted to ban hats from my wedding. I requested that people who will be in a lot of photos (so close family) don't wear hats but MIL ignored me. And no, she looks ridiculous in what she wears every day and I laughed when I first saw the photo of her in that stupid fascinator because it was that bad.
I have this image of MIL in the widest hat possible and in the photos people won't be able to stand next to her unless they are shorter and the two people sitting either side of her during the meal will have their heads at 45 degree angle because her hat will be in the way.
If she insists on wearing a hat then it should be something like this:
but it will probably be something like this:

But everyone from MIL2B to my aunties (mum's sisters) think it's terrible she won't be wearing one. I'm starting to get annoyed on her behalf now, as long as my mum is there I don't care if she wears a hat or not!!
What a cheek! Tell them that it's none of their business!!!
Incidentally, my mum is wearing a hat, she really suits hats and it is sooo elegant.
OH, btw, you take your hat off at dinner, so don't worry Olokia!7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Oh thanks Wanchai! I was thinking they were kept on too! :rotfl:
My mum won't be wearing one - she doesn't suit hats, she knows it so it's ok. The problem is people who think that hats look good on them when they don't..... :rotfl::T0 -
People aren't replying to my hen night invitations - is it really that difficult to say yes or no - what am I going to be like when it comes to the wedding invitations!0

I need to have a rant....my friend got divorced last autumn, swiftly met new man, engaged Xmas, happy for her. She text on the weekend to say their wedding is a few weeks before mine!!! I have been planning for nearly 2 years and am so excited about my wedding but feel she is stealing my thunder a little bit. Trying to be all grown up and not let it bother me but it does a bit. I just hope she doesn't have the same dress as me!!!
Also having a bit of an issue with my MOH. It appears that she doesn't want to arrange my hen do so my bridesmaid has taken over, bless her, and is doing a sterling job despite being a very busy bee! Bit sad that MOH isn't really helping as I did hers a few years ago and made a huge effort to make it special for her
Phew, thanks for letting me get that off my chest!0 -

Only e-mailed on Thursday, but did say we need final numbers this week as the venue is holding our places provisionally until tomorrow!
This is prob why the bride isn't meant to organise the hen night - but i'm just helping out lol!0 -
I still can't get people to commit to the 2nd part of my hen do so if it's just me and my bridesmaids then so be it, can't keep chasing people! No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

A few of my friends never check their emails, maybe a quick call or text would encourage them?!0 -
