Oh double mummy that doesn't sound good
I know how frustrating it is to be the one doing all the planning, my OH works so hard I always end up planning holidays and so on!
As for me I'm !!!!ed off because my sister (MOH) just told me "I'm not wearing orange" after I was musing about a really pretty orange dress I'd seen in Monsoon. Orange is OH's favourite colour and I really like orange flowers so we were actually considering it as a colour scheme...it's a bit different and we thought it might be nice for a spring wedding. My other bridesmaid (best friend) is all "it's your wedding I'll wear whatever you want" but my stupid bloody sister was just "I'm not wearing orange" and that's that.
I know I'm being a bit bridezilla-ish as tbh, if someone wanted me to wear an orange dress I don't think I'd be very happy. But these dresses are actually very pretty and tasteful and she hasn't even seen the dress - she just dismissed it straight up. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.0 -
The trick is to give it anothe name than orange. Like amber or burnt sugar or somthing equally odd. Orange immeadiately makes me think of being tangoed, but there are loads of shades of arange which are lovely.

We have 2 options for wedding
Option 1: me, df and 2 dd's go to to the carribean with our best friends and as much family as can afford to go. They all come for one week and take our dd's home whilst we stay for another week on our own
Option 2: we all go to Vegas or new York. Get married. Everyone goes home and then df and I go somewhere for a honeymoon most likely the carribean.
Everyone has something to bloody say about it. Telling us what they want and we should do what they want. This is the whole reason we wanted to go away to get married.
And my mil is a beast and I don't want her in my wedding pictures
Tell them where to go!!
My best female friend is a total bridezilla bless her but we're all going along with herEven though her plans are to start off at the registry office, then WALK to a cafe for cream teas, then WALK to a mexican restauraunt for a meal then WALK to the aquarium meaning we'll be spending the day walking around in circles and quite a distance in total:D:rotfl: Bless her, anything to let her have what she wants...even if I do have to wear a hot pink bridesmaid dress:o it's all about her and I'll happily do it for her.
Me and the groom have jibed at her though and sent her pics of funky mobility scooters and normal scooters to transport us around for the day -including rain covers to keep us dry:rotfl:
Seriously though,do what you want, they should be happy, the day is about youIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
My sister is annoying me again!
In December she told my parents that she didn't wanna be a bridesmaid, so I had to call her up to give her a get out clause HOWEVER she said she didn't say that and then proceeded to complain about how she wasn't feeling involved, how I hadn't asked for her advice and how she begged me not to have a wedding whilst she was at uni but how horrified she was that I ignored her...
Anyways, nothing was resolved and I ended up putting the phone down on her.
Fast forward to February and the same conversation from my mum comes up; "Qwerty doesn't want to be a bridesmaid, she wants you to ring her and tell her she doesn't have to be one" - Ermmmmm.... I already did and she completely denied what she said!
I am NOT going to be having that conversation again with her and as far as I am concerned she is not a bridesmaid and I will wait for her to contact me to tell me that she doesn't want to be one. Grrrr!
Oh and to annoy me more, she knows that she's coming to the wedding but is refusing to send the RSVP until the deadline!
She is v. jealous and I have joked that she will turn up for my wedding wearing her own wedding dress... Scary thing is, I think she actually would...:eek:❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤
