Spoony - do we have the same sister?!

Within hours of me announcing my enegagement she was pulling a face and moaning to all that I hadn't asked her to be a bridesmaid - I hadn't asked ANYONE to be one yet - i only just got engaged!

Then she told me she didn't want to be one and came up with lots and lots of reasons why. Fine, I asked other people who all said yes. My wedding party is 'balanced' best man and 2 ushers with 3 adult bridesmaids, a little flower girl and a page boy.

Now, she is upset i didn't realise her 'i don't want to be a bridesmaid' actually meant 'i desperately want to be one, please, please ask me'! and is upset i didn't ask! I spoke to you on a number of occasions, you always said no, categorically no! How was i meant to know you weren't telling the truth!

    Argh! Families!

Could be worse about bridesmaids, you could have had the girl that threatened to push me down 2 flights of stairs at my engagement party as I hadnt told her beforehand she wasnt going to be a bridesmaid. Also hadnt told her she was going to be mind you, how do you start that conversation; "We've assessed the bridesmaids and I'm afraid you dont match our criteria" are you really meant to tell all your friends who aren't going to be a bridesmaid?!

i may have overheard a phone conversation about the OH going to collect the 'item' he has dropped the baby off at nursery and has disappeared - he isnt answering his phone and hasnt told me where he has gone

i'm thinking either drugs or my engagement ring so now i'm getting all excited or preparing to ring the police :)
