Our first plan was to keep the do back in the UK low key, but now we're planning to make it a massive knees up as we won't be able to have everyone with us. I am getting almost as excited about that as I am about the wedding!

I just thought I'd check about the registrar fees as I only had the 2011 ones and found that the 'registrar attendance fee' for mon-fri has jumped from £61.50 to £140 :eek: I was expecting it to go up by a few pounds but that's ridiculous. The sat, sun and bank holiday fee has gone from £140 to £165. I reckon it's because more people are going for weekday weddings to reduce costs so they're cashing in. I dread to think what they're going to do with the fees for 2013.... robbing b*stards! :mad:

Wow gemmzie...that's incredible! I've not added up the rest of the charges we'll need to pay but it won't be that much! I guess I should chillax and stop being such a tight-!!! lol....it's just my natural reaction to spending money on non-pretty (however essential) wedding things

yeh we decided to get married this time last year so we started looking at stuff and getting information on everything

we discussed getting engaged but i wanted to get married after a short engagement

we only started organising things last month and the ring he had specially designed just for me so when he went to pick it up today he would have proposed earlier if he had it

the first day my OH met me as a 13 year old he told me he would marry me one day and that will be 10 years to the day that he marries me, he was a gent and we were best friends until i was 16 then we got together, had two kids and now we will be huband and wifey lol

so theres the story of my relationship lol
