Same Olokia. we've still got people to rsvp though that have booked rooms! So we know from the hotel they're going! They've just not told us!Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

I had a couple of those because my venue keeps emailing me a breakdown of the rooms and who has which room.0

People are so rude Olokia - I had to chase lots of people and I even had to had to contact one couple whilst on final meeting with our wedding co-ordinator! I also got told yesterday that one of the guests probably couldn't make it as they were working a shift in Norfolk. But they may be able to come if the weather is bad... I don't think so... if you probably can't come then I'm not paying for an empty seat!

I am being bridezilla because.... I am really upset that my cousin is not coming to the wedding.
I really thought everyone would come (first in family to get married), but she is moving to Australia for a year in July.
it will cost her £1000 ish to come back for it.
We used to be really close, always went on holiday together etc, and she is the same age as me and we went to the same school etc, but grew apart as you do. Still really thought she would be there though.
This isn't really a bridezilla rant... I am just really disappointed.:T0 -

I know how you feel, my closest cousin is going to Australia for a year in May and will miss my wedding too. ITs disappointing isn't it!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Yeah... Sigh. Oh well- for the positives it's one less person to feed, and it does mean free accommodation down under for next year!:T0

Know how you feel Johanna, Just found out my best friend can't come to our wedding as she is pregent & due on 1st Oct so won't be able to fly. I am so pleased for her as she has had so many problems trying for a baby so i'm happy for her, but I wanted her at my wedding.Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.0

I went into my local bridal shop today, they were brilliant and so helpful - but there wasn't a single dress that i even wanted to try on
The whole shop was full length gowns except for one tea length dress.
I really like the style of the monsoon goa dress, and want a simple short dress as we are having a very informal wedding, but everything was just far to weddingy and OTT
I've felt wretched about it all day, it would have been so much easier if they were unhelpful and rude! When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.
:whistle:0 -
If you don't want a formal wedding dress - try looking at some of the bridesmaids dresses - ones like Alfred Angelo can be made in white or ivory
(Or do as I'm doing - buy a full length dress and then get it cut up :T)0 -

Could you get a full-length dress shortened into tea-length? Why don't you try phoning the shop you went to and enquiring as to whether their in-house/recommended seamstress would be able to do that? Then go back, look for full-skirted gowns, and imagine them with the bottom 20" or so missing!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012
