I'm starting to want to throttle OH.

He *still* hasn't fully decided who's going to be his best person (I've put person cos it's actually more likely to be a best woman than a best man). If it's the person he's thinking of most, I haven't even met them!

And if it's a best woman, when I asked him what she would be wearing, he said "whatever they want".

Oh no no no no no no no no no.

And she's not wearing a bridesmaid dress either (that was his next suggestion). I've very deliberately only chosen ONE adult bridesmaid - my best friend of 12 years. If I had wanted two bridesmaids, I'd've chosen a second bridesmaid.

He's basically chosen what he's wearing, although he's not sure whether he's going for chocolate brown or navy blue (I'm wearing a red dress) - would it be hideous of me to say that I want her in a relatively plain dress of whatever colour the suits are?
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

    Hi,

When one of my friends got married a few years ago her OH had a best woman(she was actually a former girlfriend:eek:) Anyway they all got on well, when we went shopping for our BM dresses with my friend the best woman came with us & we choose her outfit then. We all agreed that a smart trouser suit was the way forward that matched in with the colour scheme & she was more than happy with that. Maybe thats they way forward? Best of luck!
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

That is a good idea. Would she be shopping for it with you or your h2b? Do you know how much your h2b is wanting to spend on the outfit?

I think its quite acceptable for you to stipulate the colour, you would do that with bridesmaids.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

I just got engaged and am so excited to share my FIRST bridezilla moments! (first of many I'm sure...)

On the phone to my mum last night and she DARED to try to talk about something other than my engagement and wedding (it was our first post-engagement phonecall) so after hanging up I bawled my eyes out.

I had almost decided NOT to have my best friend as my bridesmaid as she took 40 mins to reply to my "I just got engaged!" text (although she more than made up for it when she did eventually phone)

Not sure this bodes well for the months to come...............

Emmylou I'm with ya! My OH is having a "best-woman" and it has been the most frustrating part of the organising so far! He went down the route of "she can pick what she wears" erm no.....she can't. And there was no way she was wearing the same type of thing as my 1 and only BM so I eventually won them over with a nice fitted lady suit! Having said that we haven't actually picked and bought it yet. I think a dress in the same colour as his suit would be lovely, I was going to go for that but he choose a lovely but slightly awkward grey and finiding a fitted suit is proving hard enough!
    Stay strong!
