I am a Bridezilla and my confession is....

OK, I'll join in:
Nobody seems to give a s.h.1.t about my (OK our) wedding except me!:rotfl:
I know how you feel, everybody is so bothered about my sister & her stupid unplanned teenage pregnancy that everyone seems to have forgotten about the wedding.
I don't get much glory/attention in my family and I'm usually happy being the steady, un-dramatic one BUT 2012 was supposed to be my year!!!
ps. not sure if this is a silly or serious post, at the moment it's silly but in 10 minutes my mood may have changed and it's serious :rotfl:0 -
Ahh Roz! You must feel soo much conflicting feelings about that! Don't blame you for feeling bridezilla-ish!:T0

I'm a Bridezilla because I want to book our honeymoon NOW!! And if H2B can't get the time off I will go berserk at his firm...:T0

I feel like a proper selfish cow about it all
Why wouldn't your OH be able to get time off work?
One more bridezilla moment from me, if you lovely ladies will allow me such:
It is MY wedding, not OURS. My OH has not dreamed about this day since he was a little girl (or if he has there's a fairly serious conversation we need to have :rotfl:) and whilst I will run ideas past him, we are both more than comfortable with the fact that this is a purely functional act and any opinion he expresses will not be taken into account, as the likelihood is I've already arranged whatever it is I'm [STRIKE]telling[/STRIKE] asking him about :rotfl:0 -

I think that goes for must of us brides 2 b. :rotfl:0 -
Well, I just think that surely anyone would feel like that! It's not feeling selfish that's bad, it's being selfish! So stop thinking bad of yourself!
OH is starting his training contract at a city law firm in Feb. we don't know how the A/L really works, whether he can take a week off anytime, if it has be the same time as his supervisors... If it has to be set times... If he is only allowed a few days off at time etc...
I know he can get it off legally, but if they don't want him to have it, we can't take it as he has worked so long and hard for the job, we can't jeopardise it for a 'holiday'. (it's almost causing physical pain to write this!! :rotfl:)
My head is totally understanding this... My heart is going 'what the ....'!!?!?:T0 -
Oh how exciting for your OH tho Jo! Is it a big firm or more high street. I don't think that makes much of a difference actually; infact if it is big it may be better as they have so many trainees (no disrespect to your OH in the slightest, I know how hard it is to get a tc!!) that one being off shouldn't make too much of a difference. The only thing is if he is doing separate seats of 6 months he will need to know where his second seat and probably ask that supervisor. If it is a smaller firm, like mine, I don't so separate seats I just do a mix all the time and therefore my supervisors are the same the whole way through my contract (I have two supervisors who are lovely).0

Could he perhaps give them a call to ask before he starts? Makes him look keen and lets you book your honeymoon :rotfl:0 -
I personally would avoiding calling to ask about holiday as it could look like you are more interested in time off. Does he know any of the trainees already there Jo? Or could he get to know them; some of the bigger firms have facebook groups and the like. What firm is it? I know a couple of trainees at one or two city firms (not many though so the chances of it being the same place are slim!)0
