Bridezilla confession:
We are thinking of going to Croatia on Honeymoon. Our nearest airport (Bristol) does direct flights but only on sleazyjet. I have put my foot down and refused to go on honeymoon via a budget airline. I can cope with flying economy if we can't afford anything else, and normally have no problem with flying as cheaply as possible, but for my honeymoon I have standards dammit!!!!
Besides, it's not too difficult, or expensive, to get to Heathrow from here...and we have plenty of time to find a bargain flight with a proper airline....

Thats what I think too. Its not just a holiday for me, as I only intend on getting married once, so I want somewhere special!0 -

Thanks ladies, I feel better now! It was the first time I'd really made any kind of demand over the wedding, and H2B seemed a bit surprised! I'm trying to be as laid back as I can about everything - I'd love the men to wear brown suits (they'd go better with my dress), he wants grey. He has to wear it so he can have grey, it really doesn't bother me enough to push it. We can only afford the cheapest food option, and I have to do my own hair and make up? No problem - the cheap options will still taste good, and I like doing my own hair and make up - good excuse to buy posh make up.
But every now and then I have to say no, and then I feel guilty..... Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Definitely! I think I may instruct H2B to wear smart casual on the flight instead of casual- apparently you're more likely to get an upgrade that way!!
Neither of us has been to Croatia before, we wanted to go to a country neither of us has been to! I've heard great things about it though Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

OK, I feel a bit better now. I just didn't want anyone going 'Oh look at wanchai having birdcages when her friend had them too'! I mean, they are pretty common at weddings these days!!!!
You could always nick her best bits, as in you could buy birdcage etc off her if she is selling them and change them to match your colour scheme

Unfortunately not I'm affraid - the only thing likely to get you an upgrade is gold membership to the airmiles club for the airline you fly with.
Even silver memberships are unlikely to get upgraded.0
