I've just put my foot down. OH was googling harpists to get a quote for someone to play during the reception. Not only would someone playing a harp not fit in AT ALL with our venue or with us really, I don't know who he thinks would pay for it anyway.
lol! I put my foot down when OH suggested that he could wear an orange shirt and tie with his light grey suit - our colour scheme is red and cream - he's now accepted that he can have a deep red shirt and tie :D but he did put *his* foot down and say that he wants his shirt and tie to be the same colour (with tie being a darker shade) so I think we're even on that one :rotfl:

Ah bless him did you ask him why he wanted a harpist?

I have for as long as I can remember always wanted a String Quartet at my Wedding, even before I had met H2B.

When we started planning our Wedding H2B and my parents couldn't understand it and said it would cost a lot of money. I had a slight hissy fit saying it was my (oopps sory "our") wedding and I wanted a String Quartet so they can all like it or not come  Thankfully they all got on board with it with my Mum going out of her way to find a quartet :T And after all that fuss they haben't turned out that expensive and all now agree how lovely it will be :j

  • Think I had my first (of many i'm sure) bridezilla moments yesterday, I blame lack of sleep lol.

My friend is very kindly making my invitations, but we have to get the design we want by next weekend because she is currently works in a printers, but leaves at the end of the month. My partner and I searched for the perfect invites, and didn't agree on anything, which wound me up because I know what I want and he is stopping me (how very dare he haha).

Anyway, we finally agreed on something, my friend mocked one up on Saturday and I do like it, but it just isn't me at all. My partner loves them. I decided last night to tell H2B that we need to change it, and he looked gutted. I took this as that he wasn't willing to do anything I want and kind of went on a rant about everything, even things that hadn't bothered me before.

Feel like bit of a brat this morning so apologised. My H2B as usual, gave me a kiss, told me that he loved me and that he could just tell I was tired. Knew there was a reason why I was marrying him, no one else would put up with my mood swings when i'm tired lol.

Yes, he answered "I don't know"! I give up.
  • I am a bridezilla because I am point blankly refusing to book a Disco DJ, we are having 6/7 bands play progressing on during the night from folk to soft rock/70's power ballads to heavy heavy metal tributes.

I am walking down the aisle to Dear God by AX7 and the first dance will be to This Love, Pantera (Acoustic).

My mum thinks I am being unreasonable.

That sounds like my perfect wedding!
My bridezilla moment of the day is me getting annoyed that one of my friends has offered to DJ, and I don't want him to as I don't want pop music, I have sat and sorted out all of my music already that I want, and the closest bit to pop is a bit of Madness.

Also getting annoyed as everyone keeps commenting about the fact that I am walking down the aisle to The Wedding March off Queen's Flash album and they think it's a stupid idea. I dread to think of people comments about the song for our first dance ( Anathema - Dreaming Light) as they won't have even heard of it.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
  • I couldn't find a madness tribute so got 3daftmonkeys instead.

    Amazing song you've picked there.

  • I'm a bridezilla and my confession is.....
I wish i'd eloped to Gretna instead of planning a wedding there, I booked the wedding at Gretna green for 40 people (10 being children) i originally wanted to book a day and an evening reception there but lots of people were stating that they were doing the return journey in a day 120mile each way, so opted for wedding breakfast at gretna and local rugby club the saturday after....
NOW BECAUSE OF CHEAP TRAVELLODGE SALE they are all staying over 5 mile away from venue, What am i to do....weddings at 2 meals at 3:30 there are sausage and bacon baps at 9:30 pm but i dont want now to be slated for no evening entertainment and i dont actually now want to have to try and budget for it with 15 weeks to go.. my dads suggessted we all go to a pub in gretna after the meal..but i dont know what to do and i have people that wont tell me if they are coming or not ....I vowed i wouldnt be a bridezilla but AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
