Thanks you guys knew I could count on you!
I did think of my perfect response to it last night when I was lying in bed mulling it over. What I should have said is that if me in a wedding dress at this size offends you so much, you don't have to come. Which is a calm and reasonable response putting them in their place. I have had no end of prove with them about this wedding and we haven't even planned anything yet so don't want to think what the next two years are going to be like lol0 -
Invites are turning me into a bridezilla - why can people not read them properly, why do they all have to go together and I haven't had time to build a wedding website yet so just email me and I'll send it soon, ARGH!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

My Groomzilla is that I don't want to have to invite 10 people on the "You have no choice but to let them come" list.0

My summary is that if you don't want children at your wedding then you are probably an !!!!!
Now now play nice people don't have to do exactly what you want them to do because of your life choices just the same as you don't have to do what they want you to. If you respect people's wishes they will probably be far more accommodating of yours.
This thread is really not the place to be judgemental.0 -

Bang on, now had some water and an apple and feel much more balanced!0 -
I am a Bridezilla cos my MOH has just told me she is 5 weeks pregnant and will therefore be 17 weeks pregnant at the wedding. Her dress was on a 12-week delivery and fits her perfectly -- now! Cue a massive panic from me as there is 12 weeks til the wedding, so no time to order a new one. Cue MOH "helpfully" suggesting a dress from a high street shop in a similar colour and similar style. I DON'T THINK SO!!!!
Luckily I was able to order the same dress 2 sizes bigger on an express delivery (cost £25) which will be here in 8 weeks. Big Phew.
However -- she hasn't offered to pay me ANY MONEY towards the cost of the new dress (£175 less 20% goodwill discount from the lovely shop).
And she's thinking of announcing her pregnancy on my hen night.0 -

Aww, how annoying. That would have upset me too. Hopefully you'll be able to sell the smaller dress? Perhaps you could ask if you could sell her dress afterwards to recoup some of the costs?
Plus, she won't be able to drink at your hen night, so she'll probably just want to explain that - maybe you could ask her to make an announcement beforehand instead? If she won't have had a scan in time you might just have to put up with it. And get tiddly! Definitely annoying though.0 -

Wow - am SO not ordering my bridesmaid's dresses early then!

Erm - why not? I'm probably dressing all my bridesmaids in high street dresses! Also, if one doesn't match the others, will it make you any less married?

Okay, that's maybe a bit off - but as someone's pointed out - you don't announce until after the 12 week scan, so maybe this is the first gathering at which she can tell people? Is her news going to 'take away' the excitement the hens have for you? It's a pretty elastic emotion, excitement...
I do think, if she's a good friend, that you need to keep your wedding in perspective - she's having a child! It's pretty big for her too!If at first you don't succeed, then sky-diving isn't for you

I'm sorry, I thought this thread was a place to rant without reprisal???
Of course I'm over the moon about my best friend being pregnant, I'm going to be an auntie for the first time!0
