Argh despite being on a high for the last 24 hours over finding our perfect venue, my h2b is now giving me a bridezilla moment over bloody cravats!!
Our colour scheme is chocolate and cream and Ive given my h2b the task of sorting the kilts for him, best man and 2 ushers. So he tells me he wants the lochnagar tartan (beautiful very dark grey and blacks) and the only colour cravats that come with it are gun metal silver, burgundy and tartan! And we've spent the last 2 hours arguing that the cravats are supposed to match the colour scheme! Argh!!!

Yeah, mine did this too. He eventually changed it even though I told him he didn't have to. I did have a total bridezilla moment and accuse him of ruining the wedding though.

I am a bridezilla because the person making our evening invites Syu hasn't done them (its not like there are only 38 days to the wedding or anything). Everytime she posts on facebook, I want to tell her to get off her last fat bum and do them, or I'm going to Tesco to buy them, but she's a friend of h2bs and he won't hear a word against her.

I shouldn't be surprised. She took forever with the day invites and I stupidly assumed that she'd start on the evening ones when she'd done those. She says Friday. I wish we hasn't bothered.

  • Code, what a nightmare! If it's any consolation, I'm going to my SIL2B's wedding on the August Bank holiday weekend, and we haven't actually received an invite yet!!

The only thing I can suggest is to get in touch with the people you are inviting to the evening do so that they can start planning, and that an actual invite will be on its way as soon as the lazy mare pulls her finger out. Maybe not those exact words, but tbh I'd be very tempted...

Yes, maybe a 'Save the date' email, just reminding them if they've already been told and saying that an invite will be in the post next week. You could also send the email to the person making the invites - might give her a kick up the behind!

I'm a bridezilla because I am getting strong urges to hit random strangers over the head every time they walk into me in the street. Despite being rather brightly coloured whenever I am out I get people walking directly in to me and I bruise like a peach so every time someone bashes me in the street I get another bruise and it would be quite nice if on the wedding day/honeymoon I wasn't covered in bruises.

*Touch wood* but today I only have 4 bruises, so I may just wrap myself in bubble wrap until the wedding so I don't get arrested for assault!

Pikie - have you tried arnicha cream? That can help get rid of bruises.

I think I will try that thanks :)
I banged my forehead the other day and it went bright red instantly so I expected it to bruise really badly but it didn't I just got a little lump thankfully!
